Exam Details
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 examination serves as the first stage of the recruitment process. Before the release of the admit card, candidates will receive an exam city intimation slip containing details about the allotted city, date, and shift. The admit card itself will be available a few days before the exam and can be downloaded from the SSC’s official regional websites.
This year, SSC has introduced a self–slot selection facility allowing candidates to choose their preferred exam city, date, and shift. The slot selection window is expected to remain open from 22 October to 28 October 2025.
The exam will be conducted in multiple shifts across different centers in India, starting from 12 November 2025.
Exam Pattern (Tier 1)
The Tier 1 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Below is the general exam pattern:

Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Follow these simple steps to download your admit card once it becomes available:
- Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission – www.ssc.gov.in
- Go to the “Admit Card” section on the homepage.
- Click on the link titled “Download SSC CHSL Tier 1 Admit Card 2025.”
- Select your SSC regional website link.
- Log in using your Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth.
- Your admit card will appear on the screen.
- Verify all details such as your name, exam date, city, time, and photograph.
- Download and print the admit card for future reference.
Important Note: Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with an original photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN, Passport, or Voter ID) to the examination center. Entry will not be allowed without these documents.
