TGPSC Faculty Recruitment 2026 Apply Online for 86 Lecturer, Senior Lecturer Posts

The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC), Hyderabad, has released an official notification for the general recruitment of Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET). Qualified candidates seeking to build a career in the School Education Department can apply online for these 86 vacancies via the official TGPSC portal starting June 24, 2026.

Vacancy Details

TGPSC has announced 86 Faculty vacancies within the School Education Department. This recruitment drive includes 23 positions for Senior Lecturers and 63 positions for Lecturers across various subjects and mediums, split between Multi-Zone I and Multi-Zone II.

Education Details

• Senior Lecturer & Lecturer (Post Codes 1-16 & 18): Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a UGC-recognized university. Additionally, an M.Ed. Degree with at least 55% marks from an NCTE-recognized institution is mandatory.

• Lecturer in Art Education (Post Code 17): A Post Graduate Degree in Fine Arts (Applied Art) with not less than 55% marks is required, OR a PG Degree in any subject with 55% marks combined with a Degree in Fine Arts with 55% marks.

• Lecturer in Physical Education (Post Code 19): A Post Graduate Degree in Physical Education with at least 55% marks from an NCTE-recognized university.

• Note: For SC/ST/BC and Differently Abled candidates, the minimum qualifying marks for academic and professional qualifications are relaxed to 50%.

Salary

• Senior Lecturer: Rs. 58,850 – Rs. 1,37,050/-

• Lecturer: Rs. 54,220 – Rs. 1,33,630/-

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years (Candidate should not be born after 01/07/2008).

• Maximum Age: 44 years (Candidate should not be born before 02/07/1982).

• Age is reckoned as on 01/07/2026.

• Age Relaxations: * SC/ST/BCs & EWS: 5 Years.

  • Physically Handicapped persons: 10 Years.

  • Telangana State Government Employees: Up to 5 Years.

  • Ex-Servicemen & N.C.C. Instructors: 3 Years + length of service.

Selection Process

• Written Examination: The selection will be based solely on the marks secured in the Objective Type Examination, which may be conducted via Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or OMR-based offline mode.

• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the verification of original certificates.

• Medical Fitness: The final appointment is subject to candidates being found medically fit during the appropriate Medical Examination.

Application Fee

• Application Processing Fee: Rs. 1000/- for OC & BC applicants. Rs. 500/- for SC, ST, and PwD applicants.

• Examination Fee: Rs. 120/-. All unemployed applicants are completely exempted from the examination fee. However, employees of any Government or Public Sector undertaking must pay the examination fee.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official TGPSC website at https://www.tgpsc.gov.in.
2. If applying for the first time, complete your One Time Registration (OTR) to obtain a TGPSC ID. Existing users can log in directly using their TGPSC ID and Date of Birth.
3. Verify your bio-data details fetched directly from the OTR database (such as Name, Education, Community, etc.).
4. Select your preferred examination center.
5. Preview the application carefully, ensuring all details are accurate, then click on “SAVE & PAYMENT”.
6. Pay the prescribed fees through the online payment gateway using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.
7. After successful payment, click on the “CONFIRM & SUBMIT” button to finalize your application.
8. Download and save the generated PDF application form containing your unique Reference ID Number for future correspondence.
