To participate in the counselling and admission process, candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying cutoff marks prescribed by the conducting university:

• General / OBC Category: The minimum qualifying mark is typically set at 25% of the maximum marks (which is 30 marks out of a total of 120 marks).

• SC / ST Category: There are no minimum qualifying marks required for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories. Rank allocation will be based on the absolute scores obtained.

• Note: Valid GATE and GPAT score holders are often given preference over AP PGECET candidates during seat allotment and do not need to write the test.

The AP PGCET 2026 was conducted strictly in an online, computer-based test (CBT) mode across designated examination centres in Andhra Pradesh. The exams were held over three consecutive days from April 28 to April 30, 2026. The question paper consisted of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each worth 1 mark, with a total duration of 120 minutes. The test covered various specialised branches, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy, and Bio-Technology, among others. There was no negative marking for incorrect answers.

1. Go to the official APSCHE website for the exam at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/PGECET.

3. Input your Registration Number, AP PGCET Hall Ticket Number, and Date of Birth in the respective login fields.
