The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division – Western Region, has launched its Apprenticeship Engagement 2026-27 for 335 Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This apprenticeship programme offers hands-on industry experience in multiple disciplines for eligible applicants, with applications being accepted online from October 5, 2026 to November 4, 2026.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division (Western Region) has released an official recruitment notification (Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/WR/APPR/2026-27) for the engagement of 335 Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This apprenticeship initiative covers training locations across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Daman & Diu. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the central NAPS and NATS apprenticeship portals starting October 5, 2026, until November 4, 2026.

Vacancy Details

IOCL Western Region has notified 335 apprentice vacancies distributed across seven states and union territories. These include technical diploma disciplines, ITI designated trades, non-technical graduate apprenticeships, and data entry operator roles.

Education Details

• Technician Apprentice (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics): 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions). Candidates must have passed between April 1, 2023, and September 30, 2026.

• Trade Apprentice (Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist): Class 10th (Matric) with a regular full-time 2-year ITI course in the respective trade recognized by NCVT or SCVT. Must have passed between April 1, 2022, and September 30, 2026.

• Graduate Apprentice: Regular full-time Graduation degree (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD). Must have completed degree between April 1, 2023, and September 30, 2026.

• Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Class 12th pass (below graduate) with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD). Must have passed between April 1, 2022, and September 30, 2026.

• Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders): Class 12th pass (below graduate) plus an accredited Skill Certificate for ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ under NSQF.

• Note: Candidates possessing higher professional degrees (B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, LLB) are strictly ineligible.

Salary

Selected apprentice trainees will receive a monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and the Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025, as amended from time to time by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and Corporation norms.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years as on September 30, 2026.

• Maximum Age: 24 Years as on September 30, 2026 (for General and EWS candidates).

• Age Relaxation:

  • SC / ST Candidates: Up to 5 years (maximum age 29 years)

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: Up to 3 years (maximum age 27 years)

  • PwBD Candidates: Up to 10 years (relaxable up to 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC-NCL)

Selection Process

• Merit-Based Selection: There will be no written test or personal interview.

• Preparation of Merit List: The merit list is prepared strictly based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed essential qualifying examination (Degree, Diploma, ITI, or Class 12th).

• Document Verification & Medical Exam: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for physical document verification and must clear IOCL’s pre-engagement medical fitness examination prior to final engagement.

There is no application fee for any category of applicants applying for the IOCL Western Region apprentice positions.
