Cabinet Secretariat DFO Tech Jobs 2026 Educational Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology, or a Master’s Degree in Science in one of the specified subjects from a recognized University or Institution.
Candidates must have a valid GATE Score Card in the corresponding subject paper for the years 2024, 2025, or 2026.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applicants is 30 years as on the closing date (15.11.2026).
Age relaxation is applicable for identified categories, including SC, ST, OBC, Central Government Employees, and Ex-servicemen, strictly as per Central Government Orders in force.

Salary & Emoluments

Selected candidates will be placed in Level-7 of the Pay Matrix.
The total initial monthly emoluments, inclusive of all allowances, will be approximately Rs. 1,00,000/- for candidates posted at New Delhi.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted purely in order of merit based on their valid GATE Score for each respective subject.
The Secretariat will call shortlisted candidates for an interview at a ratio of five times the total number of vacancies.
The final selection relies on the combined assessment of the GATE Score and the Interview, subject to the fulfillment of medical standards and Character & Antecedent verification.

The application form must be typed on an A-4 size paper.
Forms must be filled out in English Capital (Block) letters using only Black or Blue ink.
Applicants must attach self-attested copies of educational mark sheets and certificates, valid GATE Score Card, date of birth proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and two recent passport-sized colored photographs with the name and DOB written on the back.
