Vacancy Details

South Eastern Railway is hiring for 54 positions divided into three pay levels. The vacancies cover various sports such as Athletics, Cricket, Hockey, Swimming, and Badminton. Below is the distribution of posts based on the Pay Level.

Education Qualification

Candidates must possess the requisite academic qualifications along with valid sports achievements as of the date of notification.

• For Level 4/5: Minimum Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
• For Level 2/3: Passed 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent examination. (Matriculation is accepted for certain posts if coupled with specific trade qualifications, check official notice).
• For Level 1: Passed 10th (Matriculation) or ITI or equivalent from a recognized Board/Council.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be placed in the respective Pay Matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

• Level 4/5: Grade Pay ₹2400/₹2800 (Basic Pay approx. ₹25,500 – ₹29,200 + Allowances).
• Level 2/3: Grade Pay ₹1900/₹2000 (Basic Pay approx. ₹19,900 – ₹21,700 + Allowances).
• Level 1: Grade Pay ₹1800 (Basic Pay approx. ₹18,000 + Allowances).

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years
• Cut-off Date: As on January 01, 2026.
• Note: No age relaxation is allowed for SC/ST/OBC candidates in Sports Quota recruitment; the age limit is strict.

Selection Process

The selection will be based purely on performance in sports trials and verification of documents. There is no written examination.
