Vacancy Details

The Ministry of Home Affairs is conducting this recruitment drive to fill 58 Executive Officer (Census) vacancies on a deputation basis for the upcoming Census-2027. The tenure for these positions extends up to 31.03.2030.

Education Details

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute.

  • Applicants must have five years of experience in the coordination or implementation of census/survey activities, compilation, analysis of data, report writing, or formulation/implementation of schemes.

  • Alternatively, experience in monitoring and evaluation, training, liaison and coordination work, administration, establishment, or financial matters from any government organization is equally acceptable.

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Scale Level 11. The pay of the officer so selected will be regulated in terms of the Department of Personnel and Training’s official memorandums and as amended from time to time.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of application receipt.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be strictly on a deputation basis among officers of the Central Government, State Government, or Union Territory Administrations.

  • Candidates must be holding analogous posts on a regular basis in their parent cadre or department.

  • Officers with specified years of regular service in Level 10 (5 years), Level 9 (7 years), or Level 8 (8 years) are also eligible for selection.

Application Fee

No application fee is mandated for candidates applying through the deputation process.

How to Apply

  • Fill out the Bio-data in duplicate as per the pro-forma given in Annexure-II of the official recruitment circular.

  • Ensure you attach the Cadre clearance certificate, Vigilance clearance, and Integrity Certificate.

  • Include a statement providing details of any Major or Minor penalties imposed over the last 10 years.

  • Provide photocopies of ACRs/APARs for the past five years (2020-21 to 2024-25), with each page duly attested by an officer not below the level of Under Secretary.

  • Ensure the application is routed through the proper channel, certified by the Controlling Officer, and signed by the applicant.

  • Forward the completed application package to: “The Under Secretary, Admin. III Section, Janganana Bhawan, Tower-A, 3rd Floor, 2/A, Mansingh Road New Delhi- 110011”.
