Coal India Limited has announced a total of 276 tentative vacancies for the Management Trainee (Mining) position. These vacancies are distributed across various reservation categories, including General (UR), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), SC, ST, and OBC-NCL.

Education Details

• Candidates must possess a Degree in Mining Engineering from a university or institute recognized by the appropriate statutory authority in India.
• The degree must be a regular full-time course.
• The minimum qualifying marks for General (UR), OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and EWS candidates are 60%.
• For SC and ST category candidates, the minimum qualifying marks are relaxed to 55%.

Coal India Management Trainees (Mining) Recruitment 2026 Salary

• Selected candidates will be designated as Management Trainees in the E-1 Grade.
• They will be placed in the pay scale of ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000/-.
• The initial basic pay during the training period will be ₹60,000/- per month.
• Upon successful completion of a 1-year training-cum-probation period, candidates will be confirmed as Officer (Mining).

Age Limit

• The upper age limit for General (UR) and EWS candidates is 30 years as of 30th April 2026.

• Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.

• Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC and ST candidates.

Selection Process

• The primary selection is based on the scores and marks obtained in GATE-2025.

• Eligible candidates will be shortlisted category-wise in a ratio of 1:3 based on merit.

• The shortlisted candidates will then be called for Document Verification (DV) and an Initial Medical Examination (IME).

• The final offer of appointment will be issued only after the successful completion of the DV and IME.

Application Fee

• General (UR), OBC (Creamy and Non-Creamy Layer), and EWS candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹1180/- (₹1000 base fee plus ₹180 GST).

• SC, ST, and current employees of Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries are fully exempted from paying the application fee.

• Fees must be submitted via online mode only.
