TN ITI Eligibility Details

To apply for the Tamil Nadu ITI Admissions 2026, candidates must meet the specific educational criteria mandated by the state’s Directorate of Employment and Training:

  • Nationality & Domicile: The applicant must be a citizen of India. Preference is given to permanent residents of Tamil Nadu possessing valid domicile certificates.

  • Educational Qualification:

    • For Basic Entry-Level Trades (e.g., Welder, Wireman): Candidates must have successfully passed the 8th standard from a recognized school or board.

    • For Technical Trades (e.g., Fitter, Electrician): Candidates must have completed the 10th standard (SSLC) with Mathematics and Science from a recognized board.

    • For Advanced Trades: Some specific high-level technical courses require the candidate to have passed the 12th standard.
