NIT Calicut has announced a total of 79 Apprentice Trainee vacancies for the current recruitment cycle. These opportunities are divided between Graduate and Diploma apprentices across various disciplines, offering candidates a valuable chance to gain hands-on professional training.

Education Details

Applicants must meet the following educational criteria to be eligible for the respective posts:

• Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must possess a full-time Degree (B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Sc/BCA, etc.) in the relevant discipline from a recognized University or Institute.

• Diploma Apprentice: Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering, Technology, or a relevant non-engineering branch (like D.Pharma for Pharmacist) from a recognized State Board or University.

Note: Only regular candidates who have successfully acquired their respective qualifications in or after the year 2022 are eligible to apply.

Salary

Selected candidates will be provided a fixed monthly stipend for the 12-month apprenticeship training duration:

• Graduate Apprentice Trainee: ₹15,000/- per month

• Diploma Apprentice Trainee: ₹12,500/- per month

Age Limit

The age limit for the candidates will be calculated as of 12th June 2026:

• Graduate Apprentice: The maximum age limit for General (UR) category candidates is 28 years.

• Diploma Apprentice: The maximum age limit for General (UR) category candidates is 30 years.

  (Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms: 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.)

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the NIT Calicut Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be based on the following stages:

1. Scrutiny of Applications: Initial shortlisting will be done based strictly on academic merit and eligibility.

2. Document Verification and/or Written Test: Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email for this stage.

3. Interview: Final selection will be concluded through a personal interview.
