TGPSC AEE (Electrical) Recruitment 2026: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released the recruitment notification No.2/G/RB/2026 for the position of Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) within the Transport, Roads and Buildings Department. Vacancy Details

The commission has announced a total of 49 provisional vacancies for the state-level cadre of Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical). These vacancies are distributed across various communities and special reservation categories in accordance with state guidelines.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates applying for this post must possess the required degree as of the notification date (June 2, 2026):

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a university established or incorporated under a Central Act, State Act, or an institution recognized by the UGC / AICTE.
• Alternatively, an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (A.M.I.E.) qualification is also accepted.
• Degrees obtained through Distance Education must be duly recognized by the UGC / AICTE / Distance Education Bureau.

Salary Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in a lucrative pay band with a handsome structure of allowances.

• Scale of Pay: Rs. 54,220 – 1,33,630/-

Age Limit (as on 01/07/2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years (Candidate must not be born after 01/07/2008)
• Maximum Age: 44 years (Candidate must not be born before 02/07/1982)

Note: The upper age limit reflects a general relaxation of 10 years (raised from 34 to 44 years) implemented by the state government.

Age Relaxations Permitted:

• SC / ST / BCs & EWS: 5 Years
• Physically Handicapped Persons: 10 Years
• Telangana State Government Employees: Up to 5 Years (based on regular service length; Corporation/Municipality employees excluded)
• Ex-Servicemen / N.C.C. Instructors: 3 Years + length of service rendered

Selection Process

The recruitment process depends entirely on state-wide merit secured in a written examination. The test may be conducted in either an OMR-based offline mode or a Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode.

1. Written Examination (Objective Type): Consists of two papers totaling 450 marks.
   • Paper-I: General Studies and General Abilities (150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks – Bilingual: English & Telugu).
   • Paper-II: Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Degree Level) (150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 300 Marks – English only).
2. Document Verification: Verification of original academic certificates, community status, and identity details.
3. Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to being found medically fit.

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• OC, Sports Persons & EWS: Not less than 40%
• BCs: Not less than 35%
• SCs, STs & PHs: Not less than 30%

• Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR): Visit the official TGPSC portal. New users must fill out the OTR form with accurate bio-data details to generate a unique TGPSC ID. Already registered users can proceed using their existing ID.
• Step 2: Form Login & Filling: Click on the online application link on the homepage, enter your TGPSC ID and Date of Birth, and verify via the OTP sent to your registered mobile number. Verify all fetched details from the OTR database, select your preferred examination center, and click save.
• Step 3: Online Fee Payment: Click on the “Save & Payment” option. Complete the transaction using any of the online payment channels, including Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
• Step 4: Submission & Download: Verify the preview of your application before selecting “Confirm & Submit”. Once submitted, download and save a copy of the generated application PDF containing your unique Reference ID for future correspondence.
