BRAOU MBA / MBA (HHCM) ENTRANCE TEST NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO MBA & MBA (HHCM) PROGRAMS

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad, has officially released the admission notification for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MBA (Hospital and Health Care Management) programs for the academic year 2026-27. This presents a premier opportunity for fresh graduates and working professionals seeking to advance their management careers through distance education. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the university’s portal. Alternatively, candidates who have qualified for the TG ICET 2026 exam are exempt from the university’s entrance test and can apply directly for admission counseling.

Note: Candidates qualified in TG ICET conducted by TGSCHE, Govt. of of Telangana can seek admission into either MBA or MBA (HHCM) Programs offered by Dr. BRAOU as per their choice. Such candidates need not appear for BRAOU MBA / MBA (HHCM) Entrance Test. They can seek admission into the Programs as per the procedure prescribed by the University.

BRAOU MBA Admission 2026-27: Overview

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University invites applications from the candidates desirous of appearing for the BRAOU MBA / MBA (HHCM) Entrance Test (BRAOU MBA / MBA (HHCM) ET-2026) for admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Master of Business Administration (Hospital and Health Care Management) [MBA (HHCM)] Programs for the academic year 2026-27.

Candidates are advised to carefully go through the Web Notification, Syllabus and Prospectus before proceeding with the Registration and payment of the Registration Fee. The Entrance Test will be conducted in Offline (Pen-Paper) Mode, and the question paper will be available in both English and Telugu languages.

Exam Details

  • Test Administration: The entrance exam will be conducted in a conventional Pen-and-Paper (Offline) format.

  • Exemptions: Aspirants holding a valid rank in the TG ICET 2026 conducted by TGSCHE do not need to sit for this entrance test and can seek direct entry via the university’s admission guidelines.

  • Test Centers: The entrance examination will be organized across 9 regional centers in Telangana: Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Siddipet, Warangal, and Hyderabad.

Eligibility Details

Aspirants must meet the following criteria to qualify for the entrance test:

  • Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a recognized Bachelor’s Degree (excluding Fine Arts and Oriental Languages).

  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their qualifying degree examination (45% for reserved categories including SC, ST, and BC).

  • In-Service Candidates: Working professionals applying for the standard MBA program must possess a minimum of three years of experience in any organization by the last date of application submission.

  • Awaiting Results: Candidates appearing for their final year/semester exams are eligible to apply at their own risk, provided they satisfy the criteria at the time of final admission.

  • Age Requirements: Applicants must be born on or before 1st June, 2006. There is no upper age restriction.

The specialized MBA (Hospital and Health Care Management) program is conducted in collaboration with five reputable partner institutions:

  1. Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration (AIHA), Hyderabad

  2. KIMS School of Health Care Management, Secunderabad

  3. Department of Hospital Management, Dar-Us-Salam Educational Trust (DET), Hyderabad

  4. Renova Institute of Health Care Management, Renova Century Hospital, Hyderabad

  5. RVM Institute of Hospital Management, RVM Charitable Trust, Mulugu, Siddipet

Application Fee

Eligible candidates who wish to apply for BRAOU MBA / MBA (HHCM) ET-2026 shall submit their applications through ‘Online’ only by paying a Registration Fee of Rs. 1,500 in the case of general category and Rs. 1000 for the candidates belong to SC/ST/Person with Disability (PwD). Only after payment of the prescribed Registration Fee for the Entrance Test shall the main Application Form be enabled for submission. Mere payment of fee is not considered without submission of form. Candidates have to keep a record of the application details”. Registration Fee once paid will not be refunded.   • General / OBC Category: Rs. 1,500
  • SC / ST / PWD Category: Rs. 1,000

Late Fee Exception: An additional late fee of Rs. 500 applies for submissions made after 5th August up until 16th August, 2026.

Payment Mode: Fees can be deposited at TG Online Centres or paid via online modes such as Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official registration portals at www.braou.ac.in or www.braouonline.in.

  2. Pay Fee First: Complete the online payment of the designated registration fee using preferred digital channels or via TG Online Centers.

  3. Fill Application: Once the transaction is validated, the main application form will unlock. Provide accurate personal, qualification, and contact details.

  4. Submit: Double-check all entered information and submit the final form online.

  5. Save Copy: Print and retain a physical or digital copy of the submitted application details for future reference during counseling.

Important Note: Simply paying the registration fee does not complete the process; the main application form must be successfully filled out and submitted.

  • Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen-Paper based).

  • Language/Medium: The question paper will be fully bilingual, printed in both English and Telugu.

  • Duration: Total time allotted for the test is 1.5 Hours (90 minutes) from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

  • Qualifying Criteria: The minimum qualifying mark required to clear the entrance test is 25% (50 Marks). There is no minimum qualifying score restriction enforced for SC and ST candidates.
