Telangana Free UPSC Coaching 2027 with ₹5,000 Monthly Stipend

The Telangana State Government has launched an excellent initiative to support aspiring civil servants from marginalized backgrounds. The Telangana Scheduled Castes Study Circle, in coordination with the Backward Classes Welfare Department, is inviting applications for a fully-funded, 10-month residential coaching program for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2027.

Designed to empower candidates from the state, this program provides top-tier academic guidance, study materials, and direct financial assistance to ensure students can focus entirely on their preparation.

TG Free UPSC Coaching 2027: Program Highlights

• Total Seats: 150 candidates (Of these, 100 candidates will be selected through an online screening test, while 50 candidates who have already qualified the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination will be admitted directly.)

• Coaching Duration: 10 months (August 2026 to May 2027)

• Target Group: SC, ST, BC (including BC-E), and PwD candidates belonging to Telangana.

• Training Venue: TG BC Study Circle, Saidabad, Hyderabad.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this government-sponsored UPSC coaching, candidates must meet specific academic and financial benchmarks:

• Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a valid graduate degree from a recognized university and meet all standard eligibility criteria prescribed by UPSC for the 2027 Civil Services Examination.

• Income Limit: The annual family income must not exceed ₹1.5 lakh for rural applicants and ₹2.0 lakh for urban applicants.

• Exclusions: Candidates must not be currently employed, pursuing other full-time academic courses, or have previously benefited from any similar government-sponsored free coaching program.

Selection Process

The intake of 150 candidates is divided into two distinct admission routes:

• Through Online Screening Test: 100 seats will be filled via a competitive, state-level online screening exam.

• Direct Admission: 50 seats are specifically reserved for candidates who have previously qualified for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination. These aspirants will be admitted directly without needing to take the screening test, provided they meet all other eligibility rules.

Financial and Academic Benefits

Selected candidates will receive comprehensive support throughout the 10-month program:

• Monthly Stipend: A direct stipend of ₹5,000 per month to cover daily expenses (subject to maintaining mandatory attendance).

• Book Grant: A one-time financial grant of ₹5,000 for purchasing standard reference books and study materials.

• Academic Support: Full access to the study circle’s library, expert coaching from experienced faculty members, and rigorous evaluation through regular subject-wise mock tests and feedback sessions.
