Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has officially issued the notification for admission into the 4-Year B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree Course under the Competent Authority Quota for the 2026–27 academic year in Andhra Pradesh. Eligible candidates who appeared for the NEET-UG 2026 entrance examination can apply online through the centralized admission portal.
This admission process covers 100% of seats in Government Nursing Colleges and Category ‘A’ seats (60% of total intake) in Private Un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Nursing Colleges across Andhra Pradesh. The course follows a semester-based curriculum consisting of eight semesters over four academic years.

Quota and Seat Distribution
Admissions through this notification will determine the State Merit Position for the following seat categories:
- Government Nursing Colleges: 100% of the available seats are filled under the Competent Authority Quota.
- Private Un-aided Non-Minority Colleges: 60% of seats (Category ‘A’) are filled under this quota.
- Private Un-aided Minority Institutions: 60% of seats (Category ‘A’) in participating minority colleges, such as the College of Nursing, Christian Medical College (Vellore), Chittoor Campus.
- Local Area Reservation: 85% of available seats are reserved for Andhra Pradesh local candidates (Andhra University and Sri Venkateswara University local areas), while 15% seats remain unreserved.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria set by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Dr. NTRUHS:
- Mandatory Exam: Must have appeared for NEET-UG 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Nationality & Domicile: Must be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) satisfying Local/Non-Local status rules in Andhra Pradesh as per Presidential Order.
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology), and English as a compulsory subject.
- Alternatively: Intermediate Vocational with a Bridge Course in Biological and Physical Sciences from the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.
- Minimum Marks in Science:
- Open Competition (OC): Minimum 45% aggregate marks in Science subjects.
- BC, SC, and ST Candidates: Minimum 40% aggregate marks in Science subjects.
- Age Limit:
- Must have completed at least 17 years of age by December 31, 2026.
- Candidates not reaching 17 years by December 31, 2026, are not eligible.
- There is no upper age limit.
- Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible (admissions for male students are subject to institution-specific seat availability).
Application & Registration Fee
The registration and certificate verification fee must be remitted entirely online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. The fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.

- Basic Registration: Enter your NEET-UG 2026 Roll Number, Rank, Date of Birth, and registered Mobile Number to generate login credentials.
- Fill Application Form: Complete all mandatory fields including educational credentials, personal data, local status, and community details.
- Pay Application Fee: Complete the payment using Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card based on your reservation category.
- Upload Documents: Upload legible scanned PDF copies of all original certificates, along with your passport photograph and signature.
- Preview & Submit: Thoroughly verify every detail before final submission. Download and print the completed confirmation application form for reference during physical verification at the allotted college.
