Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (TNPDCL) has released a recruitment notification inviting eligible engineering diploma holders from Tamil Nadu to apply for 500 Diploma (Technician) Apprentice vacancies for the 2026-27 training year. Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the NATS portal under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

The window for online registration on the NATS portal officially commenced on October 28, 2026, and candidates have until November 28, 2026, to successfully submit their applications. Following the application phase, the initial list of shortlisted candidates is expected to be declared by the second week of December 2026.

Education Details

• Candidates must possess a regular, full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline granted by a State Council, Board of Technical Education, or University.
• Applicants must have passed their diploma during the years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026.
• Higher qualified candidates (such as B.E./B.Tech) are not required and will not be selected for these diploma apprentice positions.
• Candidates who have already undergone NATS/NAPS training, PMIS internships, or possess one year or more of work experience are not eligible to apply.

Salary

• Selected apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 10,900/- for the entire one-year duration of the training.

• The age limit for applicants will be followed as per the standard Apprenticeship Rules.

Selection Process

• The Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) will shortlist candidates based on the percentage of marks obtained in their basic diploma qualification.
• Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through their registered email ID.
• Final selection relies on the successful completion of Certificate Verification, which will be conducted at the TNPDCL Office.
