Detailed Trades / Disciplines Available

Candidates can apply for the following trades under the NAPS (Trade/ITI/Degree) and NATS (Diploma/Graduate) schemes across the various work centres:

• Trade Apprentices (NAPS): Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Fire Safety Technician (Oil & Gas), Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle / Diesel / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning), Welder (Gas & Electric), Draughtsman (Civil), Surveyor, Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology), Library Assistant, Stenographer (English).

• Non-Engineering Graduates (NAPS): Executive Finance (B.Com), Lab Chemist/Analyst – Petroleum Products (B.Sc Chemistry), Executive HR (B.B.A), Secretarial Office Assistant (Any Graduate).

• Diploma Apprentices (NATS/NAPS): Civil Executive, Computer Science Executive, Electronics and Telecommunications Executive, Electrical Executive, Instrumentation Executive, Mechanical Executive.

• Graduate Engineering Apprentices (NATS): Accounts Executive, Civil Executive, Computer Science Executive, Electrical Executive, Electronics Executive, Instrumentation Executive, Mechanical Executive, Petroleum Executive, Store Keeper (Petroleum Products).

Education Details

Candidates must possess the required educational qualification as of the cut-off date. Those who have already undergone apprenticeship training or have one year or more of job experience are not eligible.

• Trade Apprentices: Passed 10th / 12th class or possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade (e.g., Fitter, Electrician, COPA).

• Diploma Apprentices: Three-year Diploma in the respective Engineering discipline.

• Graduate Apprentices: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.B.A, B.E., B.Tech) from a recognized university.

Monthly Stipend

• Graduate Apprentices: ₹12,300 per month

• Diploma Apprentices: ₹10,900 per month

• Trade Apprentices (2-year ITI): ₹10,560 per month

• Trade Apprentices (1-year ITI): ₹9,600 per month

• Trade Apprentices (10th/12th Class): ₹8,200 per month

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 24 years (as of 29 November 2026). Candidates should be born between 29.11.2002 and 29.11.2008.

• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and 10 years for PwBD (up to 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC).

Selection Process

• Merit List: Selection is strictly merit-based, determined by the marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.

• Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie in marks, the candidate older in age will be given preference.

• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification before final engagement.

3. For Graduate/Diploma Apprentices (NATS), visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal at nats.education.gov.in and register.

4. Log in to the respective portal, search for the ONGC establishment corresponding to your chosen work centre, and click apply.

5. Fill in all required educational details and upload necessary documents.

6. Submit your application on or before 20 November 2026 and keep a printout/screenshot for future reference during document verification.
