Education Details

  • Assistant Superintendent Jail (Cat. No. 1 & 2): Must possess a Graduation degree from any recognized university or its equivalent, along with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject in Matriculation or higher standard.

  • Warder (Cat. No. 3 & 4): Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or its equivalent from a recognized education board, with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or higher education.

Age Limit & Eligibility

  • Assistant Superintendent Jail (Cat. No. 1 & 2): The required age limit is 21 to 27 years.

  • Warder (Cat. No. 3 & 4): The required age limit is 18 to 25 years.

  • Age Relaxation: Candidates belonging to reserved categories (DSC/OSC, BCA/BCB, and EWS) are entitled to a 5-year upper age relaxation up to a maximum limit of 52 years.

  • CET Prerequisite: Only candidates who have successfully qualified for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C are eligible to register for this phase.

Selection Process

The selection follows a strict multi-tier structure as per government criteria:

  • Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be called electronically up to a maximum of 10 times the number of advertised posts based on their initial CET merit list ranking.

  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Screening of mandatory height and chest standards (Height: 170 cm for general males, 158 cm for general females).

  • Physical Screening Test (PST): Qualifying running round (Males: 2.5 km in 12 minutes; Females: 1.0 km in 6 minutes).

  • Written Examination: An offline OMR-based test containing 100 questions for 100 marks with zero negative marking for wrong options, although unattempted questions missing the fifth bubble draw a 1-mark deduction.
