The Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) will Organize the Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET)  2024 on 04 May 2024. The ACET 2024 will be conducted in only one slot: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ACET Admit Card 2024 was released on 27 April 2024 on the official Website of IAI at actuariesindia.org.

ACET is the Exam Applicable to the candidates who plan to enroll as student members of the Institute of Actuaries of India and wish to take actuarial examinations. The Candidates who Applied for this Exam can Download the ACET Exam Hall ticket 2024 from the direct link below. 

ACET Exam Structure

ACET is a 3-hour, 100-mark online exam that has 70 multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question. There will not be any negative markings for incorrect answers. The pass mark for ACET Examination is 50%.

ACET 2024 Exam Pattern

ACET Examination is conducted only in India. ACET result is valid for 3 years from the date of declaration of the exam result for taking student membership of IAI.

The ACET Exam consists of 70 Multiple-choice Questions. 45 questions are worth One Mark, 20 questions are worth two marks each, and 5 Questions are worth three Marks Each. The Exam will be divided into five Sections. The Marks distribution for each Section is given below.

  • Grammar: Grammar-based questions test the candidate’s ability to spot and correct grammatical errors. It should generally tests knowledge of high school level grammar and includes areas like subject-verb agreement, use of modifiers, parallel construction, redundancy, phrasal verbs, use of articles, prepositions, etc.
  • Verbal Reasoning: Verbal Reasoning questions are designed to test the candidate’s ability to identify relationships or patterns within groups of words or sentences.
