AFCAT 02/2026 Vacancy Details
The tentative vacancies available for the courses commencing in July 2027 are as follows:
AFCAT Flying Branch: 30 vacancies for Men (SSC) and 5 vacancies for Women (SSC).
AFCAT Ground Duty (Non-Technical):
Weapon Systems (WS): 21 Men (SSC), 5 Women (SSC).
Administration (Adm): 50 Men (SSC), 12 Women (SSC).
Logistics (Lgs): 4 Men (SSC), 2 Women (SSC).
Accounts (Accts): 2 Men (SSC), 5 Women (SSC).
Education (Edn): 1 Men (SSC), 2 Women (SSC).
Meteorology (Met): 1 Men (SSC), 2 Women (SSC).
NCC Special Entry (Flying): 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.

AFCAT 1/2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course and marriage is not permitted during training
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2027):
Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years. Candidates must be born between 02 July 2003 and 01 July 2007 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit is relaxable up to 26 years for candidates holding a valid Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2007).
Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years. Candidates must be born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2007 (both dates inclusive).

Pay Scale
Stipend: Flight Cadets will receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 56,100 during their one year of training.
Commissioned Pay: Upon commissioning as a Flying Officer, the salary will be as per the 7th CPC Defence Matrix at Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,800), along with a Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs. 15,500.
