Govt issued GO No. 14 for Relaxation of upper age limit from 42 to 44 years. 

NOTIFICATION

“In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby order for relaxing the upper age limit from the existing 42 years to 44 years, in respect of teacher recruitment only through District Selection Committee, in relaxation of the orders issued in the G.O. 6th read above, in addition to the age concession over and above the upper age limit prescribed to the categories under Rule 12 of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, as a special case and onetime measure. Further, hereby issue orders fixing the cut-off date as 01.07.2024 for reckoning the age, in relaxation of Rule-12(v) of AP State and Subordinate Service Rules,1996, as a special case and onetime measure for the Mega District Selection Committee recruitment.”

AP DSC Notification 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess the following Qualifications per posts Mentioned in the Notification.

School Assistant (Mathematics)
Must possess Graduation with Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics OR one of the three equal optional subjects and a B.Ed degree with Mathematics as a methodology subject.
School Assistant (Physical Sciences)

Must possess Graduation with at least two of the following subjects as optional subjects: Physics / Applied Physics / Engineering Physics & Instrumentation and Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry / Geology or either Physics / its allied subjects or Chemistry / its allied subjects as one of the main subject and other as subsidiary / ancillary subject and B.Ed. degree with Physical Science / Physics / Chemistry / Science as a methodology subject.

Secondary Grade Teacher SGTMust possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other equivalent certificate recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of A.P. and two year Diploma in Education(D.Ed)/ Diploma in Elementary Education(D.El.Ed). Certificate issued by the Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh (or) its equivalent certificate recognized by NCTE.

Must possess a graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Principal

Academic Qualifications: Must possess any two year integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional Institute of Education of NCERT (or) any Master’s Degree from UG recognized University with atleast 50% marks in aggregate.

Professional  Qualifications: Must possess B.Ed recognized by NCTE (or) equivalent degree from UGC recognized University.

Experience: The candidates shall possess the following experience and have to submit the experience certificate obtained from the competent authority at the time of certificate verification. At the time of certificate verification, genuineness of the experience Certificates shall got verified and cross checked with the records of the concerned schools by the respective District Educational Officers/Authority appointed by the CSE. The experience certificates shall be considered after submitting the genuineness by the District Educational Officers/Authority appointed by the CSE. If the experience certificates are found not genuine, the candidature of such candidates shall summarily be rejected and such candidates shall forfeit the right for the selection:

Persons holding the post of Principals or Vice-Principals in the recognized senior secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium and with a minimum service of 3 years from the date of notification issued,

(or)

Persons holding Group ‘B’ posts / the post of PGTs (or) Lecturers in the recognized senior secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium and with a minimum service of 5 years from the date of notification issued,

(or)

Headmasters in the recognized secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium and with a minimum service of 5 years from the date of notification issued.

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

A.Academic Qualifications: Must possess two-year integrated Post Graduate Course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT or Master’s Degree from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as specified as under.

PGT(English)-M.A., in English.

PGT(Hindi)-M.A., in Hindi.

PGT (Sanskrit)– M.A, in Sanskrit

Academic     and    Professional Qualifications: Must possess a Second Class Bachelor’s Degree from the UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject(s) in aggregate including electives and Languages in the combination of subjects specified (or) Must possess four-year Integrated degree course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate and  must possess B.Ed recognized by NCTE (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University

TGT (Telugu): A Bachelor’s Degree with Telugu as the main subject (or) one of the three equal optional subjects / Bachelor’s Degree in Oriental Language in Telugu (B.O.L) (or) its equivalent/ a Post Graduate Degree in Telugu

And

B.Ed with Telugu as a methodology subject / Telugu Pandit Training or its equivalent.

టెట్‌లో కనీస అర్హత మార్కులు 

ఓసీ అభ్యర్థులైతే 60% (90 మార్కులు), బీసీలకు 50% (75 మార్కులు), ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, దివ్యాంగ అభ్యర్థులైతే 40% (60 మార్కులు) కనీస అర్హత మార్కులు సాధించి ఉండాలి.

Age Limit

No person shall be eligible for direct recruitment to the post of Teacher if he/she is less than 18 years of age and not more than 44 years of age as on the 1st day of July of the year 2024 in which the notification for selection to the relevant post, category or class or service is made. However, in the case of SC / ST / BC/EWS candidates, the maximum age limit shall be 49 years and in respect of Physically Challenged candidates, the maximum age limit shall be 54 years.

Upper age limit for Ex-service Men:  A person, who worked in the Armed Forces of the Indian Union, shall be allowed to deduct the length of the service rendered by him in the Armed Forces and also three years from his age for the maximum age limit.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates for these posts will get the pay scale as Rs.5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs.2600

Selection Process

Computer Written Test (CBT):-  The Computer Based Test will be conducted in all the districts. A candidate shall appear for the Computer Based Test in the district in which he/she seeks recruitment (or) in adjacent districts.

Application Fee

The applicants have to pay a fee of Rs.750/- towards application processing and conduct of the Recruitment Test (for each post separately) through Payment Gateway from 12/02/2024 to 21/02/2024.

AP DSC Selection Process

The Recruitment shall be through a selection process consisting of a Computer-based Written Test (CBT) and other criteria stipulated by the Government. Recruitment will be purely based on merit  cum  roster system as per the existing provisions being adopted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

  1. Paper–I English Language Proficiency Test is only qualifying Examination and marks scored are not counted for preparation of merit list.
  2. The minimum qualifying marks in English Language Proficiency Test OC/BC/EWS–60 Marks and SC/ ST/ PH/ Ex-serviceman–50Marks.
  3. If the candidates of Principal/PGT/TGT have not secured qualifying marks in Paper-1 (English Language Proficiency Test) Paper-2 will not be evaluated and shall not be considered for selection.

AP DSC 2024 Structure of the Examination:

The syllabus details, allocation of marks to different subjects, content, and structure of the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) shall be notified in the Information Bulletin to be issued by the Commissioner of School Education through the official website designated for this purpose.

The Structure and Content proposed for TRT for School Assistants, SA(PE) and SGTs are as follows

The Computer Based Test shall be conducted in all the districts. A candidate shall appear for the Written Test in the district where he/she seeks recruitment (or) in neighboring districts of neighboring states.
