APPSC FSO Recruitment 2025: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has published the latest notification for the recruitment of 100 Forest Section Officer Vacancies. Eligible and Interested candidates can apply Online through the official website at portal-psc.ap.gov.in from 28/07/2025 to 17/08/2025.

Applications are invited through online mode for recruitment to the post of Forest Section Officer in A.P. Forest Subordinate Service for a total of 100 vacancies including Meritorious Sportsperson (MSP) vacancies in the scale of pay of Rs. 32,670 – 1,01,970 for candidates within the age group of 18 – 30 years as on 01.07.2025.

APPSC Recruitment 2025: Eligibility

1. He / She is of sound health, active habits and free from any bodily defect or infirmity rendering him / her unfit for such service;
2. His / Her character and antecedents are such as to qualify him/her for such service;
3. He /She possesses the academic and other qualifications prescribed for the post; and
4. He/ She is a citizen of India.

Provided that no candidate other than a citizen of India may be appointed except with the previous sanction of the State Government and except in accordance with such conditions and restrictions as may be laid down. Such sanction shall not be accorded unless the State Government is satisfied that sufficient number of citizens of India, who are qualified and suitable are not available.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed Bachelors degree in Botany or Forestry or Horticulture or Zoology or Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics or Statistics or Geology or Agriculture as a subject or a Bachelors degree In Engineering with Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University/ Institution.

Selected Candidates will get Rs. 32,670 – 1,01,970.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on Screening Examination, Mains Examination.

Both the Screening and Main Examination will be objective type and held in Offline (OMR based) mode. Screening test will be held on 07/09/2025 A.N. The dates for Main Examination will be announced separately.

Application Fee

Applicant must pay Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) towards application processing fee and Rs 80/- (Rupees Eighty only) towards examination fee.

However, the following categories of candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee Rs.80/- only.

• SC, ST, BC & Ex-Servicemen.
• Families having household supply white card issued by Civil Supplies Department,
• A.P. Government. (Residents of Andhra Pradesh).
• Un-employed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439, G.A (Ser- A) Dept., dated: 18/10/1996 should submit declaration at an appropriate time to the Commission.
• Applicants belonging to the categories mentioned above (except Ex-Servicemen) hailing from other States are not entitled for exemption from payment of fee and not entitled for claiming any kind of reservation.
• Candidates belonging to other States shall pay the prescribed fee of Rs.80/- (Rupees Eighty only), along with processing fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only). Otherwise such applications will not be considered and no correspondence on this will be entertained.

How to Apply

Candidates shall apply online through the Commission’s Website https://psc.ap.gov.in The application submission window will be opened from 28/07/2025 to 17/08/2025 up to 11:59 (midnight).

• The applicant desires to apply for the post shall login the Commission’s Website with his/her registered OTPR number. 
• The Applicant has to Login in the Commission’s website with the User Name (OTPR ID) and the Password set by Candidate.
• After checking all the data and ensuring that the data is correct the applicant has to fill application specific data such as Local/Non Local status, White card details etc., which are also used to calculate the Fee.

• In any case if the payment process is not submitted successfully, then the applicant should start the fresh payment process as mentioned in STEP-II.

• Once the application is submitted successfully, corrections in the application will be enabled after the last date of the submission of application and will be allowed up to 7 days only from the last date of applications.
