Vacancy Details

Education Details

To be eligible for the APPSC TGT posts, candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

• A minimum Second-Class Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university. The candidate must have studied the concerned subject in all years/semesters of the degree program.

• A B.Ed. (General) degree from a university or institute recognized by the NCTE. (Note: Candidates possessing a B.Ed. in Special Education are not eligible for this recruitment).

Salary

Candidates selected for the Trained Graduate Teacher posts will be compensated handsomely under the state government guidelines. The remuneration falls under Pay Matrix Level-7, with a pay scale ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age as of the cut-off date, which is April 27, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) candidates, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and regular government employees in accordance with the Arunachal Pradesh state government rules.

Selection Process

The selection procedure for the APPSC TGT Recruitment 2026 consists of two main stages, totaling 500 marks:

1. Written Examination (450 Marks): An objective-type test divided into two papers. Paper 1 covers General English, General Studies, Aptitude, and Pedagogy (150 Marks). Paper 2 is the Subject-specific paper (300 Marks). A negative marking of 1/6th is applicable for incorrect answers.

2. Viva-Voce and Classroom Teaching (50 Marks): Candidates who meet the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam will be shortlisted for the interview and teaching skill assessment phase.
