APSET 2026 Exam Details
The AP SET 2026 will be conducted across 30 subjects in eight regional centers. Notably, the exam is transitioning from an offline format to an Online Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination consists of two papers, both featuring objective-type questions (MCQs).
APSET 2026 Eligibility Details
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a UGC-recognized university with at least 55% marks for General/EWS candidates.
Relaxation: Reserved category candidates (SC, ST, BC, PwD, and Transgender) are eligible with 50% marks.
Final Year Students: Candidates pursuing their Master’s or awaiting final results can apply provisionally but must complete their degree within two years of the SET result.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for applying to AP SET.
Exemptions: Candidates who qualified for UGC NET or SET before June 1, 2002, are exempted from this test for Assistant Professor recruitment.

APSET 2026 Exam Pattern
The APSET will be conducted in an objective mode. The test will consist of three papers. Both papers will consist of multiple-choice questions and will be held on the day of the examination in two separate sessions as under:

- Scoring: Each correct answer carries 2 marks.
- Negative Marking: There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Medium: Paper I is bilingual (English and Telugu), and Paper II depends on the specific subject chosen.
AP SET 2026 Syllabus
AP SET Syllabus 2026 Paper – I and Paper – II Exam will be Computer-Based Tests and will comprise 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates will be given two and a half hours to complete it.
