The Directorate of Employment and Training, Andhra Pradesh, regularly conducts Job Melas across the state. Minister of HRD, Skill Development and Training Mr Nara Lokesh, is personally interested in helping unemployed youth in the state by providing them Jobs in their home place. With this aim, DET was formed. It works under the Department of Skills Development and Training, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has formed the Government of AP to coordinate and synergize the skilling efforts of all departments. Under this, APSSDC is formed. Andhra Pradesh will require approximately 10 million Skilled workers across the high-priority and emerging sectors between 2025 and 2030.
