Army Public School TGT PGT and PRT Recruitment 2025: The Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) is going to organize an Online Screening Test (OST) for the recruitment of TGT, PGT and PRT posts. The Online Screening Test will be conducted for potential teachers/ teachers under various categories. The exact number of vacancies available in respective schools would be announced by each School Management through advertisements published in newspapers and the respective school website/notice boards. Appointments would be transferable in the organizational interest.
Army Public Schools (APS) are located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India. These schools are administered and managed by Local Military Authorities and are affiliated to CBSE. The Notification for AWES OST September-2025 has already been released, and the Registration is being accepted from 05 June 2025 to 16 August 2025 at the online Website – awesindia.com.

AWES Online Screening Test (OST) Summary
Online Screening Test (OST) for the recruitment of Teacher posts in Army Public schools will be conducted on 20 & 21 September 2025 with reserve dates 22 & 23 September 2025. The Test will be conducted ON-LINE in the MCQ format. The questions will be randomly generated from a subject-specific question bank. For each category, there will be one question paper of 200 marks, i.e., one question paper for PRT, and one question paper in each subject for PGT as well as TGT. For each correct response, the candidate will be awarded one mark. There will also be NEGATIVE MARKING, of a 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. Exam will be held at Exam Centres located across the country. THOSE WHO APPEAR IN THE EXAMINATION WILL BE GIVEN A SCORE CARD WHICH SHALL BE VALID FOR LIFE.
Why is an Online Screening Test (OST) needed for Army Public School Recruitment?
Online Screening Test (OST) is a computer-based online screening test conducted centrally and online by an agency identified by HQ AWES to ensure uniform quality of teachers in all Army Public Schools. Passing the Online Screening Test is not mandatory for appearing for the interview and evaluation of teaching skills & computer proficiency. However, OST qualified candidates will be preferred and OST marks carry a weightage at interview stage. After selection for the post of a teacher, a non-OST qualified candidate must pass the OST within two years of being appointed with a minimum overall raw score of 50 % (100 marks).
Army Public School TGT PGT and PRT Recruitment 2025: Vacancies
Every school will announce the vacancies available in their school through various means like local newspapers, the school website, notice board etc. Candidates would have to apply to the respective school where they wish to work in response to these announcements/ advertisements. The interviews may or may not be held at the location of the school. They may be held at the discretion of the local management at a convenient place/or in any of the other schools.

Note:
- A Post-Graduate with less than 50% aggregate marks in Graduation can also apply for the post of a TGT / PRT provided the candidate has scored a minimum of 50% or more aggregate marks in Post- Graduation.
- Aggregate percentage will be based on the marks for the entire duration of Graduation/Post Graduation.
CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in the Online Screening Test. However, CTET/TET conducted by Centre/state government is mandatory at the time of appointment as TGTs/PRTs. Therefore, candidates must ensure that they clear CTET/TET before their appointment as TGTs/PRTs. Candidates who have not qualified CTET/TET but found fit in all other aspects may be considered for appointment on vacancies which may be ADHOC in nature.
Candidates are required to ensure that they at least fulfill NCTE rules, regulations and notifications for minimum qualifications, KV Sangathan recruitment rules and regulations.

How to Apply
Candidates are expected to register ON-LINE for the screening exam by logging onto the Registration Portal awesindia.com. Candidates can register between 05 Jun 2025 to 16 Aug 2025. Thereafter the portal will be closed for registration. The procedure to be followed will be as per details available on the website. CANDIDATES ARE STRONGLY ADVISED NOT TO LOG IN TO ANY OTHER WEBSITE FOR INFORMATION ON THE ONLINE SCREENING TEST AND FOR REGISTRATION.
Please use the steps given below to give general information about yourself to register your profile:-
- For profile registration, you need to have a valid AADHAR CARD, MOBILE NUMBER and e-mail ID.
- You will receive an OTP on your Mobile number and e-mail ID for registration.
- You can edit your Post/Other details any time before submitting, except Basic Details.
- While entering the required information in on-line form, you will be asked by system to attach the following documents: –
- Photograph and signatures.
- Proof of date of birth.
- Certificates of academic qualifications.
- The system will then ask you to pay the exam fee of Rs 385/- (Rupees three hundred eight five only) ON- LINE. Payment options are UPI/Debit/Credit Cards/ Net banking. A payment gateway has been integrated with the web-site for the purpose and candidates will be guided through the payment process.
- Once registration is completed, you will get a confirmation that registration is successful. You will also be informed through e-mail and SMS regarding the same.
- Candidates can apply for more than one post, viz PRT/TGT/PGT, provided they fulfill the criteria for the post applied for. In such cases the candidate will have to apply afresh for each post.
- All candidates must keep a print out of the application submitted.
