Eligibility Criteria (as of 01.11.2025)

Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for Credit Officer posts in Bank of India:

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Experience:
    • SMGS‑IV: Graduate + 8 years relevant experience.
    • MMGS‑III: Graduate + 5 years relevant experience.
    • MMGS‑II: Graduate + 3 years relevant experience.

These requirements apply to the respective scales of Credit Officers.

Age Limit

The minimum and maximum age requirements vary by scale as of November 1, 2025:

  • Credit Officer (SMGS-IV): 30 to 40 years.
  • Credit Officer (MMGS-III): 28 to 38 years.
  • Credit Officer (MMGS-II): 25 to 35 years.

Upper Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years.
  • OBC (Non-creamy layer): 3 years.
  • PwBD: 10 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 years.

Selected candidates will receive a basic pay according to their scale, along with applicable allowances and perquisites.

Selection Process

The selection procedure may involve two main stages depending on the number of applicants:

  1. Online Examination: A 150-minute objective test covering English Language (qualifying only), Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge.
  2. Personal Interview: Candidates who qualify for the online test (or are shortlisted directly if no test is held) will be called for a 100-mark interview.
    • Weightage: If both stages are held, the ratio of Online Exam to Interview is 70:30.

Application Fee

Payment must be made online between December 20, 2025, and January 5, 2026.

  • SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 175/- (Intimation charges only).
  • General & Others: Rs. 850/- (Application fee + Intimation charges).

  4. Note down the system-generated Provisional Registration Number and Password.
  5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per specifications.
  6. Fill in educational and experience details and preview the application.
  7. Click ‘COMPLETE REGISTRATION’ and proceed to the ‘Payment’ tab.
  8. Pay the fee using available online modes and print the e-Receipt and Application Form for future reference.
