BEL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27: The Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has released an official notification for the engagement of apprentices for the year 2026-27. The recruitment drive aims to fill 84 vacancies for Graduate, Technician (Diploma), and Optional Trade Apprentices at its Chennai Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates from the Southern Region (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Puducherry) to undergo one year of apprenticeship training. BEL Apprentice Jobs 2026-27 Vacancy Details

BEL Chennai is hiring for a total of 84 apprenticeship positions. These are categorized into Graduate Engineering, Technician Diploma, and Non-Engineering (Optional) streams.

The vacancies are distributed across engineering branches like Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, and non-engineering streams like B.Com and BBA.

BEL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 Education Qualification

Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination from a recognized University/Board on or after April 1, 2021.

• Graduate Apprentice: BE / B.Tech in the relevant engineering discipline (Electronics & Comm., Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, Civil).

• Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Electronics & Comm., Mechanical).

• Optional Trade Apprentice: Pass in B.Com / BBA / BBM from a recognized university.

• Domicile Requirement: Candidates must belong to the Southern Region (TN, AP, TS, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry).

Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend during the one-year training period.

• Graduate Apprentices: ₹17,500/- per month.

• Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: ₹12,500/- per month.

• Optional (Non-Engineering) Apprentices: ₹12,500/- per month.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 25 Years.

• Age Calculation Date: As on January 01, 2026.

• Age Relaxation:

  • SC / ST: 5 Years

  • OBC: 3 Years

  • PwBD: 10 Years

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted through a Walk-in drive involving the following stages:

1. Academic Merit: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks secured in their qualifying degree/diploma.

2. Document Verification: Verification of original certificates (SSLC, Degree/Diploma, Caste Certificate, Aadhaar, etc.).

3. Final List: The list of provisionally selected candidates will be published on the BEL official website.

2. Profile Completion: Ensure your student profile on the NATS portal is 100% complete and verified.

3. Prepare Documents: Gather original and photocopies of your 10th/12th mark sheets, Degree/Diploma certificates (all semesters), Aadhaar Card, Community Certificate, and NATS Enrollment ID.

4. Check Schedule: Identify your specific walk-in date based on your branch/discipline (Feb 5, 6, or 7).
