Key Program Details

  • Duration: Minimum of 2 academic years; maximum of 4 academic years.

  • Medium of Instruction: Telugu only. All year-end examinations, assignments, records, and teaching practices must be completed in Telugu.

  • Total Intake: 500 seats across all program centers (Maximum 50 seats per center).

  • Tuition Fee: ₹40,000 for the entire two-year program, to be paid in a single online payment at the time of admission.

Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the B.Ed. Entrance Test, candidates must meet the following citizenship, academic, and professional milestones:

1. General & Age Requirements

  • Must be an Indian citizen.

  • Must have completed 21 years of age as of July 1, 2026. There is no upper age limit.

2. Academic Qualifications

  • General Candidates: Minimum 50% marks in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.C.A., B.Sc. Home Science, B.B.M., B.B.A., B.E., or B.Tech).

  • Reserved Candidates (SC/ST/BC/PWD): Minimum 40% marks in the qualifying graduation/post-graduation examination.

  • Engineering Graduates (B.E./B.Tech): Must have studied Science or Mathematics as one of their core subjects.

  • B.C.A. Graduates: Must have passed Intermediate with respective subjects to choose their teaching methodology.

3. Professional Requirements (NCTE-2014 Regulations)

Candidates must fulfill both of the following conditions:

  1. Must be a trained in-service teacher in elementary education.

  2. Must have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education program (such as D.El.Ed./D.Ed.) through face-to-face (regular) mode only. Candidates who completed their teacher training via distance mode are ineligible.

⚠️ Ineligibility Note: Candidates holding professional degrees like MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm, LLB, B.Sc. (Agri), or those possessing regular Diplomas in ECE/PSE or PPTTC are not eligible for this program.

📝 Entrance Test Structure & Mode

The entrance test will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) in Telugu medium only (except for the General English section).

  • Total Marks: 100 Marks

  • Total Questions: 100 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • Qualifying Marks: 35 marks for General/BC categories. There are no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.

Syllabus Breakdown

  • Part-I: General English Comprehension (25 Questions / 25 Marks) – Reading comprehension, sentence correction, articles, prepositions, tenses, spelling, vocabulary, and voice transformations.

  • Part-II: Proficiency in Telugu (25 Questions / 25 Marks)

  • Part-III: General Mental Ability (50 Questions / 50 Marks) – Logical, analytical, verbal, and abstract reasoning.

  1. Visit the official BRAOU online portal at www.braouonline.in.

  2. Fill out the application form online with accurate personal, academic, and service details.

  3. Upload a scanned passport-size photograph and signature (JPEG format, under 60 KB) along with necessary certificates.

  4. Pay the registration fee online:

    • General / BC Candidates: ₹1,000

    • SC / ST / PWD Candidates: ₹750

  5. Take a printout of the submitted application form and fee receipt. Do not send a physical copy to the university; keep it safe for admission counseling.
