Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Admit Card for the Private Candidate examination on January 17, 2026 at its official website – cbseit.in. Private candidates who have registered for the 2026 main exams can now access their hall tickets directly through the official CBSE portal. The board exams are scheduled to commence in mid-February, making it imperative for students to secure their admit cards immediately.

The CBSE 2026 board exams for private candidates will be conducted alongside the regular candidates’ exams. Both Class 10 and Class 12 exams will begin on February 17, 2026. Most papers will be held in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Students are advised to reach the center by 10:00 AM. For private candidates, practical exams are typically conducted at the theory examination centers. These are scheduled to be held in February and March 2026.

In line with new NEP recommendations, the 2026 session introduces a “Second Board Exam” (Phase 2) for Class 10, tentatively scheduled from May 15 to June 1, 2026. This offers students an opportunity to improve their scores, with the first phase (Feb-Mar) being the main mandatory exam.
