Education & Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the specific educational and residency requirements for each post as of the date of advertisement:
Staff Nurse:
Must have completed a GNM training course from an institute recognized by the Indian/West Bengal Nursing Council OR B.Sc. Nursing.
Must be registered under the West Bengal Nursing Council.
Proficiency in the local language is required.
Laboratory Technician:
Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.
Must hold a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) recognized by the West Bengal State Medical Faculty or AICTE.
Basic knowledge of computers (MS Office, Internet) is required.
Pharmacist:
Must hold a two-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D-Pharma) (Allopathic) recognized by the Government of West Bengal.
Must be registered as an ‘A’ category Pharmacist under the West Bengal Pharmacy Council.
Proficiency in Bengali and computer efficiency (MS Office & Internet) is required.
Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
Community Health Assistant (Urban):

Salary Structure
The monthly remuneration for the contractual posts is as follows:
Staff Nurse: Rs. 25,000/- per month.

Community Health Assistant (Urban): Rs. 13,000/- per month.
Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as of January 1, 2025.
Staff Nurse: Upper age limit is 64 years.
Laboratory Technician: Upper age limit is 40 years.
Pharmacist: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 40 years.
Community Health Assistant (Urban): Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years.

Selection Process
The selection procedure varies by post and is primarily based on academic scores and technical skills:
Staff Nurse: 100% based on marks obtained in GNM or B.Sc Nursing.
Laboratory Technician:
85 Marks: Based on marks obtained in the DMLT final examination.
15 Marks: Computer Test.
Pharmacist:
85 Marks: Academic scores (M. Pharma – 85, B. Pharma – 75, D. Pharma – 65).
15 Marks: Computer Test (Minimum qualifying marks 50%).
Community Health Assistant (Urban): 100% based on marks obtained in ANM or GNM.
