Haryana Polytechnic Admission 2026-27 Admission Details
Admissions into the polytechnic courses for the 2026-27 session will be granted strictly on a merit basis, eliminating the need for a separate entrance test.
- Diploma Engineering: Merit rank is prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination (10th Standard) or equivalent.
- Diploma Engineering (Lateral Entry): Merit rank is prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the 10+2 examination or 2-year ITI.
- Diploma Pharmacy: Inter-se-merit is calculated based on the aggregate percentage obtained in Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Mathematics, and English in the qualifying exam.
- Reservation: A 25% horizontal reservation is maintained for female candidates across all technical institutions in Haryana. Supernumerary seats are also available for Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) categories.
Eligibility Details
For Diploma Engineering: Candidates must have successfully passed the 10th Standard / SSC Examination from a recognized Board.
For Diploma Engineering (Lateral Entry): Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/IT/Biology/Informatics Practices/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship OR passed 10th + 2 years ITI OR hold an NSQF level 4 certificate.
For Diploma in Pharmacy: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from the Board of School Education, Haryana, or an equivalent recognized board with passing marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee to process their applications. The fee must be deposited online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Visit the Official Portal of HSTES admissions at www.techadmissionshry.gov.in.
Create a new account to generate your Unique Application Number and Password. Ensure you keep these credentials safe for future logins.
Fill in all required personal, educational, and demographic details. Note: Haryana resident candidates must enter their Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP ID); details like name, father’s name, DOB, and income will be auto-fetched and non-editable.
Upload scanned copies of a recent colored photograph (Max 30KB), signature (Max 20KB), and relevant category/sub-category PDF certificates (Max 100KB).
Proceed to the payment gateway and submit the application fee based on your respective category.
Select a Designated Center (Govt./Govt. Aided Polytechnic) during the application process. The center will perform an online verification of your uploaded documents and marks.
Once your application is verified and the merit list is published, log back into the portal to complete the choice-filling process for seat allotment during the counseling rounds.
