The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati has officially announced a total of 40 apprenticeship training vacancies. This includes 26 positions for Graduate Apprentices and 14 positions for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices available across various engineering, science, and administrative departments.

Education Details

To be eligible for the IIT Tirupati Apprenticeship 2026, candidates must meet the following educational criteria:

• Passing Year: Must have completed regular educational qualifications in the years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.

• Institution: All qualifications must be from recognized Indian Institutions.

• Graduate Apprentice: Requires a B.E/B.Tech in relevant engineering fields, BSc (Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Chemistry/Physical Education), Graduation in Arts/Science/Commerce, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science.

• Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Requires a Diploma in relevant Engineering disciplines, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), or a Diploma in Physical Education (D.PED).

• Restrictions: Candidates who already have more than one year of work experience or have previously undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible.

Salary (Stipend)

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly stipend (including the NATS share) during their 1-year training period:

• Graduate Apprentice: ₹20,000/- per month

• Technician (Diploma Apprentice): ₹18,000/- per month

Age Limit

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age as on the date of the walk-in selection.

Selection Process

The selection for these apprenticeship positions will be based on:

• Academic Merit, Written Test, or Interaction (as required by the specific department).

• Document Verification: Selection is strictly subject to the satisfactory verification of all original educational and identity documents.

Application Fee

• There is no application fee mentioned in the official notification for attending the walk-in selection. Furthermore, no TA/DA will be paid to applicants for attending any stage of the selection process.

How to Apply

Eligible and interested candidates should follow these steps to appear for the walk-in selection:

1. Register on NATS: First, complete your mandatory student registration on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.

2. Prepare the Application: Fill out the required application form (Annexure A) completely and accurately. If applying for multiple positions, fill out a separate application for each.

3. Gather Documents: Collect self-attested copies of your 10th mark sheet, semester-wise Graduation/Diploma mark sheets, Degree/Diploma certificates, Category/EWS/PWD certificates (if applicable), Aadhaar card, Bank Passbook copy, Govt-issued photo ID, medical fitness certificate, and two passport-sized photos.

4. Attend the Walk-in: Bring the duly filled application form and all required original and self-certified documents to the IIT Tirupati campus at 09.00 AM on your respective selection date (27, 28, or 29 March 2026).
