Kerala ITI Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 14 years old as of 01.08.2026.
For applicants choosing the Driver cum Mechanic (LMV) trade, the minimum age requirement is 18 years as of 01.08.2026.
There is no upper age limit to apply for these courses.
Educational Qualification
Metric Trades: Candidates must have successfully passed the SSLC (10th Standard) examination or an equivalent qualification. Please note that certain engineering metric trades specifically require applicants to have passed SSLC with Science and Mathematics.
Non-Metric Trades: Candidates who have either passed or failed their SSLC (10th Standard) or equivalent exams are eligible to apply.
Application & Course Fees
Application Fee: * The online application fee for all candidates is Rs. 100/-.
Payment must be made online using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.
Course Admission Fee:
Fees are to be paid at the time of admission and vary based on the duration of the chosen course:
For 2-Year Courses: Rs. 1,270/-.
For 6-Month/1-Year Courses: Rs. 950/-.
Note: SC/ST and OEC category trainees are exempted from paying the maintenance fee component.

Metric Trades (Engineering): Electrician, Fitter, Draftsman (Civil), Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Information Technology, Solar Technician (Electrical), and Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) Technician.
Metric Trades (Non-Engineering): Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA), Fashion Design Technology, Artificial Intelligence Programming Assistant, and Cosmetology.
Non-Metric Trades: Plumber, Welder, Upholsterer, and Driver cum Mechanic (LMV).
How to Apply: Step-by-Step Guide
Visit the Official Portal: Access the online application via https://itiadmissions.kerala.gov.in or through the link provided at https://det.kerala.gov.in.
Register: Create an account using an active mobile number and email ID to receive your login credentials via SMS.
Fill Details & Choose Trades: Complete the application form and arrange your preferred ITIs and trades in order of priority using the “Move Trade Up” and “Move Trade Down” options.
Pay the Fee: Submit the Rs. 100 application fee online to finalize your submission.
Physical Document Verification (Mandatory): Starting from 15/06/2026, you must visit the nearest Government ITI in person with your original certificates, identity proof, and documents supporting any grace marks. Applications that are not physically verified will be rejected.
Selection Process
Admissions are granted strictly based on merit. An index mark is calculated using the grades/marks obtained in the SSLC examination (specifically English, Mathematics, and Science subjects). The ranking system also provisions grace marks for candidates possessing higher educational qualifications, holding NCC/NSS certificates, or residing in designated backward blocks across the state.
