Salary
Selected candidates will be appointed as Management Trainees on a pay scale of E-1: Rs. 50,000 – 3% – 1,60,000, with an approximate Cost to Company (CTC) of Rs. 14.50 lakhs per annum. After successful completion of one year on-the-job training, candidates will be placed as Assistant Manager in E-1 scale.
Age Limit
The maximum age for General category candidates is 28 years as of the cutoff date (31-10-2025). Age relaxations apply as per Government of India norms: SC/ST +5 years, OBC +3 years, Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) up to +10 years (varies with category) and Ex-servicemen as per policy.
Selection Process
The selection process for the Management Trainee positions at MSTC comprises three main stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – candidates appearing will be shortlisted based on qualifying marks (40th percentile for UR, 35th percentile for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Group Discussion (GD) – shortlisted candidates from CBT will undergo GD in a ratio of 1:10.
- Interview – those qualifying GD will be called for Interview in a ratio of 1:5. Final selection will be based on consolidated merit of CBT + GD + Interview.

General / OBC / EWS candidates: ₹ 500 + GST (non-refundable).
SC / ST / PwBD candidates: Nil (exempted).
