Vacancy Details

NALCO has notified a total of 110 vacancies for the Graduate Engineer Trainee position across three major engineering disciplines. These vacancies are distributed among various categories including UR, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST to ensure diverse representation.

Education Details

• Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess a full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized University/Institute.

• Minimum Marks: At least 65% aggregate marks for General, OBC (NCL), and EWS candidates; 55% aggregate marks for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.

• GATE Requirement: A valid GATE 2025 Score in the relevant paper (Mechanical-ME, Electrical-EE, Chemical-CH) is mandatory.

Salary & Benefits

• During Training (1 Year): Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of ₹40,000 – 3% – ₹1,40,000/-.

• Post Absorption (E1 Grade): Upon successful completion of training, GETs will be absorbed as Junior Managers with a pay scale of ₹60,000 – 3% – ₹1,80,000/-.

• Additional Perks: DA, HRA, Medical Facilities, Performance Related Pay (PRP), and other allowances as per company rules.

• Maximum Age: 30 Years.

• Age Relaxation:

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years

  • SC/ST: 5 Years

  • PwBD (General): 10 Years

Selection Process

The selection process is transparent and strictly merit-based:

1. GATE 2025 Score: Initial shortlisting of candidates will be done based on their marks in GATE 2025 (Weightage: 90%).

2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview in a 1:10 ratio (Weightage: 10%).

3. Final Merit List: Prepared based on combined scores and medical fitness.
