NCL Assistant Foreman Recruitment 2026: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna Company and subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has released an employment notification for the recruitment of Supervisory positions. Vacancy Details

NCL has announced a total of 270 vacancies for the post of Assistant Foreman (Trainee) in Grade-C. The vacancies are distributed across Electronics & Telecommunication (E&T), Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines, covering both Excavation and E&M cadres.

Education Details

Candidates must meet the following minimum educational qualifications from a recognized Board/Institute:

• Assistant Foreman (E&T): Matriculate or equivalent AND Diploma or relevant higher qualification (Minimum 3-year course) in Electronics Engineering.

• Assistant Foreman (Mechanical): Matriculate or equivalent AND Diploma or relevant higher qualification (Minimum 3-year course) in Mechanical Engineering.

• Assistant Foreman (Electrical): Matriculate or equivalent AND Diploma or relevant higher qualification (Minimum 3-year course) in Electrical Engineering.

Note: Candidates with higher qualifications like B.E./B.Tech in the relevant branches are also eligible to apply.

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in Grade-C with a minimum monthly basic pay of Rs. 47,330.25 during the training period. In addition to basic pay, other allowances such as DA, Attendance Bonus, HRA, and Transport Subsidy are admissible as per NCWA XI rules.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as on the crucial date, 05/03/2026.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 Years
• OBC (NCL): 3 Years
• PwBD: 10 to 15 Years (depending on category)
• Departmental Candidates: No upper age limit.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) comprising two sections:

• Section A: Technical Knowledge (70 Marks)
• Section B: General Knowledge, Awareness, Reasoning, and Aptitude (30 Marks)
• Total: 100 Marks | Duration: 90 Minutes.
