NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024 Notification for 43 Faculty Posts

Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals in the prescribed format for faculty recruitment in various Departments of the Institute. Detailed educational qualifications, experience and other criteria for selection shall be as per the Schedule “E” of the Statutes of NITs. (Ref. The Gazette of India Notification No. 651 dated July 24, 2017), the CEI (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019 and clarifications received from MHRD vide F. No. 33-9/2011-TS.III dated 16th April, 2019 and The Gazette of India Notification No. 477, Dated: 06th July, 2023 in the recruitment rules for faculty of NITs.

Educational Qualifications

Engineering Departments	First Class in B.Tech./B.E., M.Tech./M.E. in relevant branch/ discipline and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization mentioned above or First Class in B.Tech./B.E. in relevant branch/ discipline and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization mentioned above
Science Departments	First Class in Masters’ Degree in relevant branch/ discipline and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization mentioned above
Humanities and Social Science	First Class in Masters’ Degree in relevant branch/ discipline and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization mentioned above
Management Studies	First Class in MBA and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization mentioned above

Candidates who obtain their Ph.D. directly after B.Tech/B.E. shall also be considered for the post if they fulfill other criteria. They should have obtained a First-Class Degree at the Bachelor’s Level.
Working Experience from the Institute of Repute (NIRF Ranking) will only be considered as per oversight committee resolution (MHRD (Now MOE) vide F.No.33-9/2011/TS.III dated 16th April 2019).

Application Fee

The Candidate should pay a non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred) for General, OBC and EWS candidates by SBI Collect as per the details given in the payment link. SC, ST, PWD & Female candidates need not to pay the application processing fee.
Candidates who have applied against the advertisement no. NITD/Estt./Faculty /02/2023, Dated: 31/03/2023 and already paid an amount of Rs. 1000/- as application processing fees must have to apply online and the difference amount of Rs. 500/- has to be paid through SBI Collect.
For the Indian Nationals applying from abroad (for all categories), an application fee of USD 40 or Rs.3500/- is required to be paid.

How to Apply for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024

The online application portal commences on 30 March 2024. The last date for filling out and submitting the online application form for consideration is 30 April 2024.
The printout (hard copy) of the online application form, credit point table Sheet and summary sheet with credit point details must reach to the office of Registrar (I/C), National Institute of Technology Durgapur-713209, West Bengal on or before 10th May 2024 till 5 PM, failing which the candidature will not be considered.
