Vacancy Details

NTPC has announced a total of 515 vacancies for the Engineering Executive Trainee post. These positions are distributed across major engineering disciplines, including Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Computer Science/IT. 

Category-Wise Projected Vacancies

Important Notes:

• These current vacancies are calculated based on the existing roster position.
• The total number of projected vacancies may increase or decrease at the discretion of NTPC management.
• Vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) are reserved as per Government guidelines.

Education Details

• Candidates must hold a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or AMIE with not less than 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from a recognized University or Institute.

• Applicants must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 and possess a valid score in the corresponding engineering discipline paper.

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in the E1 Grade with a pay scale of ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000.

• Benefits: Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), Terminal Benefits, and other allowances under the cafeteria approach as per company rules.

• Training: Trainees will undergo one year of training before final absorption.

Bond Amount:

Based on the official notification, the Service Bond details for the NTPC Engineering Executive Trainee (EET) Recruitment 2025 are as follows:

• General, EWS, and OBC Categories: Candidates are required to execute a service bond of ₹5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only).

• SC, ST, and PwBD Categories: Candidates are required to execute a service bond of ₹2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand only).

Service Duration:

• Candidates must agree to serve the company for at least 3 years after the successful completion of the one-year training period.

Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 27 Years as of the last date of application (February 25, 2026).

• Relaxation:

  • OBC (NCL): 3 Years

  • SC/ST: 5 Years

  • PwBD: 10 Years (General/EWS), 13 Years (OBC), 15 Years (SC/ST)

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Candidates will be shortlisted for further rounds based strictly on their GATE 2025 Score.

2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for GD and Interview rounds.

3. Final selection is subject to meeting the medical standards of the company.
