PUMEET 2026: Exam Details

PUMEET 2026 is an offline entrance test designed to assess students in core science and engineering subjects. Candidates who pass the exam will be awarded a rank based on their obtained marks. To qualify, applicants must achieve a minimum cut-off of 15% marks for the General category and 10% for SC/ST/PwD/BC categories in the aggregate of the entrance test. Qualifying the test does not guarantee admission; seat allocation will depend strictly on merit, eligibility, and availability.

PUMEET 2026: Eligibility Details

To apply for PUMEET 2026, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

1. Applicants must have pursued B.E. (First Year) from a recognized Engineering Institute or University.
2. Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in their first year of engineering.
3. The applicant must not have any failed subjects in their first year.
4. Candidates must have completed their 12th grade with Mathematics and Physics as subjects.
5. It is mandatory for applicants to have appeared in the previous session’s JEE examination (JEE Main 2025).

• General Category: Rs. 2850/-
• SC/ST/PwD Category: Rs. 1425/-

Note: The fee for the Entrance Test is non-refundable once paid.

Exam Pattern

• Test Duration: 1 hour and 40 minutes

• Total Questions: 100 multiple-choice questions

• Marking Scheme: 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer.

• Negative Marking: 1/4 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

• Log into your account and deposit the application fee through the available online payment modes.
• Upload scanned copies of your recent photograph, signature, and fill out the rest of the application form.
• If claiming fee concessions (applicable for SC/ST/PwD/PU Employee), take a printout of the form and submit it along with required documents to the CET Cell via post or by hand before the specified cutoff.
