Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2024 – The Punjab Police Department has released the Punjab Police Recruitment 2024 Notification to fill vacancies of constables (except for the vacancies against the sports quota, which shall be filled separately) in the District and Armed cadre of Punjab Police. A total of 1746 Vacancies are available in Punjab Police Punjab Police Department.

The recruitment for filling up the vacancies in the District and Armed cadre of Punjab Police as mentioned above, shall be carried out through an Application Form (AF) for Common Computer Based Test (CBT) and preference for cadre (District Cadre and Armed Cadre) followed by Physical Screening Test (PST), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) with specified qualifying parameters. The selection of candidates shall be on the basis of their respective merit (based strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the Paper I) and normalization and indicated preference of cadre, against available category-wise vacancies.

Punjab Police Constable Jobs: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must Pass 10+2 / Intermediate from the recognized Organization/Board.

Constable (District and Armed Police cadre)

i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University.

ii) In case of Ex-Servicemen, the minimum educational qualification shall be Matriculation.

Age Limit

Minimum age as on January 1^st, 2024 – 18 years.
Maximum age as on January 1^st, 2024 – 28 years.

Relaxation in age shall, however, be applicable as mentioned below:

Age Relaxation: – SC/ ST /OBC/PWD/ PH Candidates Relaxation as per Government Rule Regulation.

Punjab Police Constable: Salary Details

As per the Punjab Government Notification No. FD-FP-10MISC/87/2020-2FP1 dated 29.12.2020 pay scale of the post Constable is Rs.19,900/- and minimum pay admissible of Rs. 19,900/- per month for three years from the date of joining in service.

Punjab Police Jobs 2024: Selection Process

The selection process shall be a 3 (three) stage process consisting of the following:

Stage-I: Stage-I will consist of two common Computer Based Test (CBT), multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type Paper viz. Paper-I and Paper-II, of which Paper-II shall be qualifying in nature.

Stage-II: Stage-II will consist of Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Both Physical Screening Test and Physical Measurement Test shall be qualifying in nature.

Stage-III: Stage-III will consist of Document Scrutiny.
