Rajasthan CET Selection Criteria
Candidates seeking to qualify for recruitment to specified 12th-level posts in Rajasthan must fulfill the official selection and structural requirements:
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed Senior Secondary (12th Class) or its equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the final year of the Senior Secondary exam are also eligible to apply provisionally.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age as of January 1, 2027. Category-wise upper age relaxations apply for native residents of Rajasthan, including a 5-year relaxation for General category women and SC/ST/OBC/EWS men, and a 10-year relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS women.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: To be eligible to sit for subsequent individual main departmental recruitment examinations, candidates must secure at least 40% marks in the CET exam. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) receive a 5% relaxation, requiring a minimum of 35% marks.
Nature of Score: The CET score acts solely as a provisional filter valid for three years. It does not guarantee employment; candidates must subsequently clear individual departmental written exams, physical tests, or interviews as determined by specific service rules.

The Rajasthan CET Senior Secondary level examination will be held as an offline, OMR-based evaluation comprising a single comprehensive paper. The paper will evaluate multiple subject domains within a designated continuous testing timeframe.

The examination features entirely objective, multiple-choice questions where each question carries equal marks. Unlike standard eligibility tests, there is a strict negative marking of one-third (1/3) of the total marks allocated to a question for every incorrect response recorded.
Additionally, the OMR sheets will utilize a 5-option response structure (A, B, C, D, E). If an applicant chooses to leave a question unattempted, they must explicitly darken the fifth circle (‘E’). Failure to darken any of the five options will result in a deduction of $1/3$ marks for that specific question. If a candidate leaves more than 10% of the total questions completely blank without marking option ‘E’, they will face immediate disqualification. Candidates receive an additional 10 minutes past the regular test duration to verify their OMR markings.
