SCR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Education Details

To be considered eligible for the SCR Apprentice training program, applicants must meet the following mandatory educational qualifications:

  • Candidates must have successfully passed their 10th Class (SSC) under the 10+2 system with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized educational board.
  • Applicants must hold an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate in the relevant trade, officially recognized and issued by the NCVT or SCVT.

Note: Candidates possessing higher technical degrees such as Engineering Diplomas or B.Tech/B.E. are strictly not eligible to apply for this apprenticeship.

Salary

Candidates selected for the apprenticeship program will not receive a standard monthly salary. Instead, they will be provided a monthly stipend for the entire duration of their one-year training period. The stipend amount is regulated and disbursed according to the standard guidelines of the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Railway Board rules.

Age Limit

Applicants must ensure they fall within the prescribed age brackets calculated as of 11 April 2026:

Selection Process
