SSB Odisha Junior Assistant Selection Process
The SSB Odisha Junior Assistant & Junior Stenographer selection process consists of three stages. They are:
- Online Exam
- Skill Test
- Medical Exam
On the basis of their performance in the Written Examination, the candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test (Computer Skill Tesl for Jr. Asst./Stenography cum Computer Test for Jr. Stenographer) of 50 marks with one-hour duration in which the minimum qualifying mark will be 50% i.e. 25 marks. For the number of Candidates shortlisted and any other specification regarding the selection procedure, the decision of the State Selection Board will be final.
In case of tie, i.e. candidates securing equal marks in the Written Examination and/or Computer Skill Test the merit will be decided basing on the aggregate percentage of marks secured in the Bachelor’s Degree. Further, if there is a tie, in case of an equal percentage of marks in the Bachelor’s Degree, date of birth will be considered for shortlisting candidates for the Skill Test & selection. The State Selection Board reserves the right to fix up the qualifying marks in the Written Examination.
There will be a common Written Examination for both the post of Jr. Assistant & Jr. Stenographer and a Computer Skill Test for Jr. Assistant whereas Stenography cum Computer skill) Test for Jr. Stenographer. There will be a separate merit list for Jr. Assistant and Jr. Stenographer. The candidates from the merit list will be allowed to give options of posting in the said six Universities through counseling.

In case, sufficient numbers of candidates are unavailable for any of the Zones excluding Bhubaneswar the candidates opting for those Zones will be accommodated at Bhubaneswar.[/su_panel]
SSB Odisha Junior Assistant Exam Pattern For Written Test
- Duration of Odisha SSB: One Hour
- Type of Questions: Objective multiple-choice questions
- The shortlisted candidates will then appear for the Skill test.
- There will be a Computer Skill Test for the Junior Assistant post.
- For the post of Junior Stenographer, there will be a Stenography cum Computer Skill Test.
