Eligibility Criteria for HPCL Jobs 2026

Candidates must ensure they meet the specific age limits and educational qualifications before applying.

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Junior Executive – Chemical: Must possess a 3-year full-time Regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering. (No prior experience required).

• Junior Executive – Fire & Safety: Must be a Science Graduate along with a Diploma in Fire & Safety, and possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License. (No prior experience required).

• Senior Officer – Sales: 4-year full-time regular engineering course (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Chemical/ Civil) AND a 2-year full-time regular MBA/PGDM. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required.

• Note: Higher level positions (Manager, DGM, GM, CGM) require relevant Engineering/Post Graduate degrees coupled with significant work experience ranging from 6 to 24 years.

• Percentage Criteria: Minimum 65% aggregate marks for UR/OBCNC/EWS and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates in qualifying degree/diploma.

Age Limit (As on 20th July 2026)

• Junior Executive Posts: Maximum age limit is 25 years.
• Senior Officer: Maximum 29 years.

Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBCNC, and up to 15 years for PwBD candidates as per Government Directives.

HPCL Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in the respective pay scales corresponding to their grades.

• Junior Executive: Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 1,20,000/- (Approx. CTC: Rs 10.99 Lakhs)
• Senior Officer: Rs. 60,000 – Rs. 1,80,000/- (Approx. CTC: Rs 21.98 Lakhs)
• Assistant Manager: Rs. 70,000 – Rs. 2,00,000/- (Approx. CTC: Rs 26.49 Lakhs)
• Manager: Rs. 80,000 – Rs. 2,20,000/- (Approx. CTC: Rs 30.27 Lakhs)
• Senior Manager to CGM levels: Varying pay scales up to Rs. 1,20,000 – Rs. 2,80,000/-

Selection Process

The HPCL selection methodology consists of multiple stages depending upon the post requirements:
