SSC Notice of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) Examination, 2025 : The Staff Selection Commission, India has released the notification for the SSC MTS 2025 on June 26, 2025All the Eligible Candidates who are willing to get a central govt job through SSC can apply online for MTS and Havaldar Posts. There will be a total of 1075 posts to be filled across India. The SSC MTS computer-based exam will be held from September 20 to October 24, 2025. 

SSC MTS 2025 Important Dates

The SSC MTS & Havaldar Posts application process began on June 26, 2025, and will conclude on July 24, 2025. A detailed table of important dates for the recruitment process is given below.

SSC MTS 2025 Job Profile

One needs to understand what sort of tasks he/she may have to undertake after selection in the SSC Multi-Tasking Staff Exam. Take a quick look at the SSC MTS Job Profile 2025:

  • Physical maintenance of records of the section.
  • General cleanliness & upkeep of the Section/Unit.
  • Carrying of files & other papers within the building.
  • Photocopying, sending of FAX etc.
  • Other non-clerical work in the Sections/Unit.
  • Assisting in routine office work as a diary, dispatch etc. including on computer.
  • Delivering of Dak (inside & outside the building)

SSC MTS 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.

As per the Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06-2015 published in the Gazette of India, all the degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission have approved them. Accordingly, unless such degrees are recognized for the relevant period when the candidates qualified, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.

Age Limit (as on 01/08/2025)

The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-08-2025 in accordance with the provisions of DoP&T OM No. 140l7/70/87- Estt.(RR) dated 14-07-1988. The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

  • 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.2000 and not later than 01.08.2007) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).
  • 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2007) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.

Application Fee

  • The application fee is Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) and the application fee is non-refundable.
  • The candidate who is from SC/ST/ Ex-Servicemen Category their application fee is NILL.
  • Women candidates are also exempted from the payment of a fee.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2025

SSC MTS Exam pattern 2025 is released by the board in its official Notification. candidates who are successfully submitted their Applications are searching for the Exam Pattern and Syllabus of the Exam. based on the Exam pattern and marks in each section, candidates can prepare themselves a timetable for their study to get a good Score. SSC MTS Exam pattern 2025 is given below. we hope it will useful to the candidates to get good marks in the Exam.

Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part II, III & IV.

There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

Marks scored by candidates in Paper-I (Computer Based Examination), if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07- 02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
