Directorate of Government Examinations, Chennai, Tamil Nadu has released Notification for Rural Aptitude Test (Trust Examination) 2025-2026 Academic Year. It has issued instructions for downloading and uploading examination applications. Tamil Nadu Rural Students Talent Search Exam (TRUST) for the academic year 2025-26 will be conducted on November 29, 2025 (Saturday).
Exam Instructions
- The TRUST exam is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025.
- The exam will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
- The question paper will be Bilingual, printed in both Tamil and English.
- Candidates must be allowed to leave the examination center only after the exam concludes.
- Only candidates with a Hall Ticket and whose names are on the Nominal Roll are permitted to write the exam.
Key Instructions for Chief Superintendents and Hall Supervisors:
- Seating and Materials: Arrange seating for only 20 students per examination room. Ensure a supply of black ballpoint pens is available.
- Timings: Question paper bundles must reach the exam center by 8:45 AM. OMR Answer Sheets must be given to Hall Supervisors by 9:30 AM. The question paper bundle should be opened at 9:45 AM, distributed to Hall Supervisors by 9:50 AM, and given to candidates at 10:00 AM.
- OMR Sheets and Nominal Roll: Hall Supervisors must shade ‘P’ for Present or ‘A’ for Absent on the OMR Answer Sheet using a black ballpoint pen. Corrections on the Nominal Roll (Name, initial, DOB, Classification) must be made in red ink and certified.
- New Procedure: New ‘EXAM REPORT’ and ‘ABSENTEE LIST’ OMR sheets are introduced to accurately track Present/Absent candidates. The Absentee List requires the enrollment numbers of absent candidates to be encoded using a black ballpoint pen.
- Attendance Reporting: Chief Superintendents must report the number of Present and Absent candidates to the Assistant Director of Government Examinations within 30 minutes of the exam starting.
Return of Materials to be Packaged in Cloth Bags:
- Packet I: Used O.M.R. Answer Sheets.
- Packet II: Unused OMR Answer Sheets + Blank OMR Sheet.
- Packet III: Corrected Nominal Roll, EXAM REPORT, and ABSENTEE LIST.
- The above three packets must be bundled together in a cloth bag and sealed with lacquer.
- Unused Question Booklets must be submitted as a separate bundle to the respective District Assistant Director of Government Examinations Office.
- Acquittance Rolls (‘பற்றொப்பச்சீட்டுகள்’) must be submitted to the respective District Assistant Director of Government Examinations Office.
The Government Examination Department is conducting the “Rural Aptitude Test” for students from rural areas of Tamil Nadu every year since 1991-92, is open to students studying in Class IX in government-recognised schools located in rural Gram Panchayat and towns of Tamil Nadu, excluding Chennai district.
50 boys and 50 girls from each educational district will be selected based on their performance in the test. Selected students will receive a scholarship of ₹1,000 per year for four years to support their continuing education.
Eligibility
Students studying in 9th standard in the 2025-2026 academic year in schools recognized by the Rural Panchayat and Township Governments are eligible to write this aptitude test. Students studying in Municipal and Corporation areas are not eligible to apply for this test.
Annual Income
The parents’ annual income of the students who wish to apply for this examination should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh).
Examination Fee
A cash examination fee of Rs. 10 should be collected from each student applying for the Rural Aptitude Test.
Downloading process of Applications
The school principals should download the blank applications for the Rural Aptitude Test to be held on 29.11.2025 from 28.10.2025 to 04.11.2025 through the website of the Directorate of Government Examinations www.dge.tn.gov.in and provide the downloaded blank applications to the students who wish to appear for the examination and collect them by 04.11.2025 along with the completed application along with the income certificate.
Uploading of Applications
The applications received from the candidates should be uploaded online from 29.10.2025 to 05.11.2025 by visiting the official website www.dge.tn.gov.in using the USER ID and Password provided to their school. Since registration is not possible after the above date, candidates should register by 05.11.2025 so that they are not affected. After the Headmaster confirms that all the details have been uploaded correctly as per the applications received, the candidates are informed to pay the examination fee through the website. After paying the examination fee, students can correct their details.

தகுதியான தேர்வர்கள்
இத்தேர்விற்கு ஊரகப் பகுதியில் அதாவது கிராமப்புற பஞ்சாயத்து மற்றும் டவுன்சிப் அரசு அங்கீகாரம் பெற்ற பள்ளிகளில் 2025-2026-ஆம் கல்வியாண்டில் 9-ம் வகுப்பு பயிலும் மாணவ / மாணவியர்கள் இத்திறனாய்வு தேர்வு எழுதுவதற்கு தகுதி உடையவராவார்கள். நகராட்சி மற்றும் மாநகராட்சிப் பகுதிகளில் படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் இத்தேர்விற்கு விண்ணப்பிக்க இயலாது.
ஆண்டு வருமானம்
இத்தேர்வுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்க விரும்பும் மாணவ மாணவியரின் பெற்றோரின் ஆண்டு வருமானம் ரூ.1,00,000/- க்கு (ரூபாய் ஒரு இலட்சத்திற்கு) மிகாமல் இருத்தல் வேண்டும். (அரசாணை நகல் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது)
விண்ணப்பங்களை பதிவிறக்கம் செய்தல்
29.11.2025 அன்று நடைபெறவுள்ள ஊரகத் திறனாய்வுத் தேர்வுக்கான வெற்று விண்ணப்பங்கைைள 28.10.2025 முதல் 04.11.2025 வரை www.dge.tn.gov.in என்ற அரசு தேர்வுகள் இயக்ககத்தின் இணையதளம் மூலம் பள்ளித் தலைமையாசிரியர்கள் பதிவிறக்கம் செய்து, அவ்வாறு பதிவிறக்கம் செய்யப்பட்ட வெற்று விண்ணப்பங்களை தேர்வெழுத விருப்பமுள்ள மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்கி பூர்த்தி செய்த விண்ணப்பத்துடன் வருவாய்ச் சான்றினையும் இணைத்து 04.11.2025-க்குள் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
தேர்வுக் கட்டண
ஊரகத் திறனாய்வுத் தேர்விற்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கும் மாணவர் ஒவ்வொருவரிடமிருந்தும் தேர்வுக் கட்டணமாக ரூ.10-ஐ பணமாகப் பெற்றுக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
விண்ணப்பங்களைப் பதிவேற்றம் செய்தல்
தேர்வர்களிடமிருந்து பூர்த்தி செய்து பெறப்பட்ட அவ்விண்ணப்பங்களை www.dge.tn.gov.in என்ற இவ்வலுவலக இணையதளத்தில் சென்று தங்கள் பள்ளிக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட USER ID, Password மூலம் தலைமை ஆசிரியர் தேர்வர்களின் அனைத்து விண்ணப்பங்கைைளயும் 29.10.2025 முதல் 05.11.2025 வரை Online மூலம் பதிவேற்றம் செய்ய வேண்டும். மேற்படி தேதிக்கு பிறகு பதிவு செய்வது இயலாது என்பதால் தேர்வர்கள் பாதிக்கப்படா வண்ணம் 05.11.2025 க்குள் பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும். பெறப்பட்ட விண்ணப்பங்களில் உள்ளவாறு அனைத்து விவரங்களும் சரியாக பதிவேற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதா என்பதை தலைமையாசிரியர் உறுதி செய்த பிறகு இணையதளம் மூலம் தேர்வுக்கட்டணத்தை செலுத்துமாறு தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது. தேர்வு கட்டணம் செலுத்திய பிறகு மாணவர்களின் விவரங்களை திருத்தம் மேற்கொள்ள இயலாது என்ற விவரத்தினை பள்ளித் தலைமையாசிரியரிடம் அறிவுறுத்த வேண்டும். தேர்வு கட்டணம் செலுத்திய பிறகு Summary Report, பள்ளியில் பெறப்பட்ட மொத்த விண்ணப்பங்கள் (தேர்வர்களின் விவரங்களுடன்) முதன்மைக் கல்வி அலுவலரிடம் 05.11.2025- க்குள் ஒப்படைத்திட பள்ளித் தலைமை ஆசிரியர்களை அறிவுறுத்த வேண்டும்.
தகுதியான பள்ளிகளைஅனுமதித்தல்
முதன்மைக் கல்வி அலுவலர்கள் தலைமையாசிரியரால் பதிவு செய்த விவரத்தினைப் பெற்று பெற்றோர்களின் ஆண்டு வருவாய் சான்றிதழினை ஆய்வு செய்து ரூ.1,00,000/-க்குள் வருமானம் உள்ள பெற்றோரின் குழந்தைகளுக்கு மட்டும் விண்ணப்பிக்க அறிவுறுத்த வேண்டும். மேலும் அப்பள்ளிகள் ஊரகப் பகுதியைச் சார்ந்ததுதானா என்பதனை உறுதிசெய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். தேர்வுக்கு அரசாணை எண். 960 Education (E2) Department நாள் பத்தி எண் 4-ல் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளவாறு (நகல் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது) தகுதியுள்ள பள்ளிகளின் பதிவு செய்த மாணவர்களின் விண்ணப்பங்களை முதன்மைக் கல்வி அலுவலரின் பொறுப்பில் வைத்துக் கொண்டு தகுதியற்ற பள்ளிகளிலிருந்து பெறப்பட்ட விண்ணப்பங்களை இணையதளம் வாயிலாக நீக்கம் செய்ய வேண்டும். அதன் பின்னரே தேர்வு மைய இணைப்புப் பணியினை (mapping work) மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
இத்தேர்விற்கான விண்ணப்பங்களை பதிவிறக்கம் செய்து தேர்வர்களுக்கு வழங்குதல் மற்றும் பதிவேற்றம் செய்வது குறித்தான விவரங்களை தங்கள் ஆளுகைக்குட்பட்ட ஊரகப் பகுதிகளிலுள்ள அனைத்து மேல்நிலை / இடைநிலைப் பள்ளி தலைமையாசிரியர்களுக்கு தெரிவிக்குமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்ளப்படுகிறார்கள். மேற்காண் அறிவுரைகளை தவறாது பின்பற்றி தேர்வுகளை நடத்துவதற்கான முன்னேற்பாட்டுப் பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ளுமாறு அனைத்து முதன்மைக் கல்வி அலுவலர்களும் கேட்டுக் கொள்ளப்படுகிறார்கள்.
