The official counselling schedule for the Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TG POLYCET) 2026 has been officially released. Candidates seeking admission into various diploma courses across Telangana Polytechnic colleges for the 2026-27 academic year can now prepare for the upcoming admission procedures. The counseling process will be conducted in two major phases, paving the way for the new academic session to commence on June 9, 2026.

The eligible and qualified candidates of TGPOLYCET-2026 (MPC Stream Rank Holders) who had passed SSC or its equivalent desirous of seeking admission into Diploma Courses in Polytechnics of Telangana are informed that the payment of Processing Fee, Slot Booking for Certificate Verification, Certificate Verification and Option exercise will commence as per the schedule given below. TS Polycet Counselling 2026 Eligibility
- The candidate shall be an Indian National.
- The candidates should satisfy the local/unreserved status requirements as specified in G.O.Ms. No. 16 Higher Education (TE) Department dated 17-03-2026
- Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in each course in the Educational Institutions in the State for the local candidates of O.U. Area as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be unreserved seats.
- Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by Recognized Board.
- There is no age restriction for seeking admission into Diploma Courses in Polytechnics.
Mere appearing for TGPOLYCET-2026 and obtaining a rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfills the requirements laid down for admissions.

Required Documents for TS Polycet Counselling 2026
Candidates appearing for the TS Polycet Counselling 2026 are required to carry the Following Documents. Candidates participating in the Telangana Polycet Counselling must carry the Required Documents. The List of Documents we have given is below.

- TGPOLYCET-2026 Rank Card.
- Aadhar Card.
- S.S.C or its equivalent Marks memo.
- IV to X Study Certificates.
- Transfer Certificate (T.C).
- Income Certificate issued on or after 01-01-2026 by competent authority, if applicable.
- EWS Income and Asset Certificate issued by the Tahsildar valid for the year 2026-26, if applicable.
- Caste Certificate issued by competent authority, if applicable.
- Residence Certificate of candidate for a period of 7 years preceding to qualifying examination in case where the candidate has no institutionalized education.

Payment Fee
Down here, we have listed the details of the fees for both private and government/aided polytechnic colleges.
- The Fee for Government Polytechnics is Rs. 3800/- per annum.
- An amount of Rs. 1000/- as Polytechnic Development Fee (SBTET) for the candidates allotted in Government Polytechnics.
- An amount of Rs. 180/- (Rupees One Hundred and Eighty only) towards Micro- Insurance Product – Janata Personal Accident – Group policy for a period of three years at the time of first year admissions from the candidates seeking admission into Government / Private Polytechnics.
- The Fee for Private Un-Aided Polytechnics is as per the Tuition Fee fixed by the Government vide G.O.Ms.No 38 Higher Education (TE) Department Dated 30-10- 2024. The college-wise Tuition Fee particulars and seats available under Convenor quota will be made available on the website : https://tgpolycet.nic.in well before the commencement of Option entry.
- An amount of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) towards contribution to Telangana Green Fund.
Second Phase Counselling & Additional Admissions
Candidates who either miss the first phase, fail to secure a seat, or wish to upgrade their current allotment will have multiple fallback options. The Department of Technical Education has scheduled subsequent phases to ensure maximum student enrollment:
Second Phase Counselling: Starts on June 15 and concludes on June 27, 2026.
Internal Sliding: Candidates looking to switch branches within their allotted college can do so between June 27 and June 30, 2026.
Spot Admissions / Counselling: To fill any remaining vacant seats across colleges, spot counselling will be conducted from July 1 to July 8, 2026.
