The Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh, has announced the commencement of the online application process for admission to the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) program for the academic session 2026-27. This two-year training course is offered by district education and training institutes, CTE Varanasi, and other private D.El.Ed institutes recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online through the official UP D.El.Ed portal at updeled.gov.in
starting from 15th June 2026. The last date for registration is 8th July 2026.

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their graduation from a recognized university. The minimum required marks may vary, with general category candidates typically needing at least 50% marks in graduation, and 45% for reserved categories.

• Domicile: Candidates must be residents of Uttar Pradesh, and proof of domicile may be required.

• Other Requirements: Indian citizenship is mandatory, and candidates must fulfil any other specific conditions as per the official guidelines.

UP D.El.Ed Admission Process 2026

The process includes registration, filling out the application form, paying the application fee, and participating in a merit-based counselling process.

Step 1: Online Registration
The first step for candidates is to visit the official UP D.El.Ed website and register for the 2026 admission process. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to updeled.gov.in.
2. Create an Account: Click on the “New Registration” link and provide basic personal details such as your name, date of birth, contact information, and email address.
3. Generate Login Credentials: After successful registration, you will receive a username and password. These credentials are required for logging into the application portal for further steps.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form
After registering, candidates must complete the application form, which requires detailed information such as:

• Personal Information: Full name, address, contact details, etc.
• Educational Qualifications: Details of your 10th, 12th, and graduation (for those applying under the graduate qualification).
• Category Information: If applicable, candidates will need to provide details regarding their category (General, OBC, SC, ST, PwD, etc.).
• Institute Preferences: You will be asked to select your preferred colleges or institutes for D.El.Ed admission.

Candidates must fill out the application form carefully and ensure that all the information is accurate, as any discrepancies can lead to disqualification.

Step 3: Document Upload
Once you’ve filled in the application details, the next step is to upload scanned copies of the required documents. These typically include:

• Photograph: A recent passport-sized photograph.

Step 6: Merit List Declaration

The merit list will be published on the official website around 23rd December 2026. Candidates who qualify will be invited for the counselling process.

Step 7: Counselling Process
After the merit list is released, candidates will be called for the counselling process. This is where the seat allotment and document verification take place. Here’s how it works:

• Choice Filling: During counselling, candidates can fill in their preferences for D.El.Ed colleges across Uttar Pradesh.
• Seat Allotment: Based on your merit rank and preferences, you will be allotted a seat in one of the participating institutes.
• Document Verification: During the counselling session, you will need to provide original documents for verification, including academic certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and domicile certificates.
• Fee Payment for Seat Confirmation: After seat allotment, candidates will be required to pay the seat confirmation fee to finalize their admission.

Step 8: Final Admission and Training Commencement
