CSIR UGC NET Result 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) results soon. As per past year/session trends, the NTA has a record of releasing UGC NET results within a gap of 33–42 days. Keeping this in mind, the earliest expected date for the UGC NET result is August 1 (after 33 days), while the latest expected date is August 10, 2026 (after 42 days).

CSIR UGC NET Merit List 2026

NTA will publish two merit lists for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) and lectureship (LS-NET) or assistant professor positions. Candidates aspiring for JRF or lectureship and assistant professor positions must meet the minimum passing percentage criteria within two years from the result declaration date. Specifically, general, EWS, and OBC category candidates need to score at least 33%, while SC, ST, and PwD categories should secure 25% to qualify for fellowship and lectureship.

After the declaration of results, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will also release the CSIR UGC NET merit list 2026 on its official website. The list will contain the roll numbers and ranks of candidates who will qualify the CSIR UGC NET exam.
