Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division (Northern Region), has released an official recruitment notification (Advt. No. IOCL/MKTG/NR/APPR/2026-27/1) for the engagement of 433 Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/1992. Eligible candidates meeting the prescribed qualification parameters can submit their online applications through the NAPS or NATS web portal along with the mandatory location preference form on or before September 06, 2026.

Vacancy Details

IOCL Northern Region has released 433 apprentice vacancies across states including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, J&K, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The slots are distributed across Technician, Trade ITI, Graduate, and Data Entry Operator disciplines under applicable state reservation rules.

State-Wise Vacancy Distribution

Education Details

• Trade Apprentice (Fitter / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist): Passed Matric (10th) with a regular full-time 2-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
• Technician Apprentice (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Civil / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics): 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the respective Engineering branch with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
• Graduate Apprentice (BA / B.Com / B.Sc / BBA): Regular full-time Graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
• Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Passed Class 12th (below Graduate).
• Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holder): Passed Class 12th (below Graduate) with a ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ skill certificate issued under NSQF.

Stipend Details

• Stipend Rates: Payable in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961 / 1992 and applicable amendments.
• Additional Expense Allowance: An additional amount of Rs. 2,500/- per month will be paid by IOCL (MD) NR towards miscellaneous expenses.
• Payment Mode: Graduate and Technician Apprentices receive the government share via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into their bank account under NATS, while Trade Apprentices receive full stipend directly from IOCL under NAPS.

Age Limit (As on 31.08.2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years

Selection Process

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Selection will be made without any written test or interview. Merit lists will be generated based on aggregate percentage marks secured in the prescribed essential qualification.
2. Tie-Breaker Rule: If candidates score equal marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If birth dates are identical, higher marks in Matriculation will be considered.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for physical document verification.
4. Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test: Candidates must pass the medical fitness test per Indian Oil’s physical fitness standards. Expenses incurred up to Rs. 3,000/- for pre-engagement medical tests will be reimbursed upon receipt submission.

2. Complete 100% of your profile details on the portal, including personal, educational, category, aggregate percentage, and bank account seeding details.
3. Log in to the respective portal and search/apply for opportunities using the IOCL Northern Region Establishment ID:
